There's more chance of JWM, Guru, Welly or KOPR jumping in on our posts than us making any new signings this window !!
That doesn't mean anything! all you're saying is there is less chance than a certainty! I'd actually be surprised if no one comes in. After the debacle against Brentford, he must want to shake things up, it's just about getting a deal over the line, at least I can't believe it to be otherwise!

Bah!

GM - I was trying to be humorous and ended up with an epic fail (to quote ColU Mike).

I do expect us to sign maybe a couple of players - probably on loans to the end of the season. We probably will see some last minute activity on Monday - I don't expect us to sign anyone on a permanent contract.

I'd be disappointed if wes left, we played our best football with him in the team at the beginning of the season. He was our best player in the first half yesterday and still opens defences more regularly than any other midfielder we have. Honestly can't understand the disregard for him from some of our fans.

Understand that, but no one's stepping up and replacing him. We haven't signed anyone that comes close to replacing him. We've played better with him. Until there is a replacement not sure how we can move on.

Howson & the Belgian plus the 2 youngsters on loan.
Wes was brilliant in Lg1 and the Championship his first season in the Prem but time is running out for him so a step down & Champions league football is a massive chance for him to retire a hero.

He was also excellent in the 10 game run that kept us up the season after then unnecessarily shafted. His contribution to our team is often under appreciated. He's an enigma, lambert said it best when he said you think you'll move on without him and then you realise you're missing him in the team and you don't know why.

He links our play, gets the ball moving wide faster and plays more cutting passes than anyone else in our squad.

Howson for me hasn't done enough in his time here. Unfortunate with injuries last year, a few goals this year. Flatters to deceive a lot. Looks class drives us forward but not cutting enough. Hits good form and it fizzles out. The only time i've thought he looks the class consistently was when he first signed for us under lambert. The rest of the time he's been to inconsistent. If he was as good as some people think he is we'd be in the champions league.

Can't tell with Ofoe yet I really hope he's the real deal.

Agree though if Celtic come for wes it's an ideal move for him to retire a hero playing in an easier league and champions league.

Wes is a tricky one.
When on his game there are few better in the team.
But as mentioned by others, those games are getting rarer.

I would let him go.

From what I've heard he is already showing promise so would hopefully at least match Wes's 1 good game in 10 <ok>

1 good game in 10.... Suppose you weren't watching the first 11 games of the season where he played them all and we were top.... And then got injured at fulham and we slid down the table...
