If that were the case, I think we'd have been looking at marginally more than the supposed £1m he cost us <yikes>

Yep, which is another reason why I don't see there is any need to overhype him (though £1m is quite a lot to most Championship teams...)

However, with his incredible goal and assist record from midfield, that clearly is his specialty!

Bit of a tongue in cheek response to a rather idiotic post I think. At least I hope so.

Sorry, GE, I'm a bit confused here - if you mean you hope my post was tongue in cheek then yes I didn't actually mean Canario is glass half full...!

I'm almost 100% certain nobody at the club will be contemplating that happening Rick, and even if we do lose those three games (which we won't) there are 15 others to play with a further 45 points to play for.

I'm sorry, but I personally can't stand worst case scenario negative thinking, does my head in and I struggle to see how it is either "brilliant" or funny. It just doesn't work for me, never has done and I don't get it, sorry about that.

I also dislike 'worst case scenarios', Munky. What I was suggesting was that the Wolves and Watford games are 6 pointers as regards the play-offs, and Neil and McNally have to decide whether it's more important to have Dorrans for those games and do without him for the play-off final (if we get there), or to go with what we have now and bring him in at the end of the month so he could play in the final if we get there. I'm not sure which way I'd go if I had to make that decision.

That could be true, Cromer, but as Rich says, did any of us think that Holt would work out like that for £500k or that Jerome at £1.5m would come in and score 13 goals in 23 games (2 as sub)? Those have to be two of the best deals City has ever done. I'm just hoping that Andreu might be another.

Fair do's Rick, that certainly makes more sense <ok>

The BBC and the EDP comparing Andreu to Fabregas and Lampard respectively is just what we don't need now in the over-hype department. The EDP's longer YouTube video does at least show that he's two footed, capable of a range of shots to score goals, but also can play intelligent through balls and is very comfortable with the ball at his feet:

The comments about him being a number 8 more than a number 10 were also interesting.
