Someone like Jeremy Helan? He can play both left back and on the wing and has bags of pace. I've no idea what he's like defensively, but was on the books at Man City

Or Jordan Obita. Would have to pay a pretty penny for either I should imagine.

That's true, GE, but Toffolo is playing as a left wing-back for Swindon, and doing very well by all accounts.

Saw him play last season I think, and was pretty impressed. At the time we were interested in Bridcutt and Mackail-Smith who were also on the pitch, and whilst Bridcutt was quietly impressive, Helan was the one who caught my eye.

Anyone else think Toffolo might actually be our best youth prospect at the moment? Absolutely thriving in league one, and the amount of game time he's getting at the moment is significantly more than the Murphy's are getting. If we're still in this league in the summer, it really wouldn't surprise me if a LB went and he moved into the first team squad.

I'm not sure who is the best, but Toffolo has certainly impressed every time I see him and they love him down at Swindon. The fact that he has played CB, LB and LWB is also a huge advantage.

Let's hope there's some truth in this - and if so, that something happens before the weekend <ok>

I thought he was a Southampton player on loan at Norwich / Millwall?

Can anyone remember who the young player was that we bought in the summer and loaned back? I think it was with Swindon.

Louis Thompson. His brother is a defender there as well.

Good point, it was some up and coming midfielder I think. Probably could have used him last weekend, though imagine he's in the "developing" mould like McGrandles

See Hendrie is having a medical at wet sham prior to signing an agreement for next season. Out of contract this summer.

Anyone think we'll see any new signings then with only a few days to go?

    Nope. Not unless someone leaves.

I'd still like to see an out-and-out left winger though

There's more chance of JWM, Guru, Welly or KOPR jumping in on our posts than us making any new signings this window !!
