Most sensible post I've seen for a while. Adam for me.

It's been obvious to me for a couple of years now (hence my footer) but now we are In a scrap I'm not sure how many in our team you'd want in the trenches with you.
We need someone to pull the team around, get in the faces of the opposition, win a few 50/50s to get the crowd going. We need someone to encourage and also give a few bollockings out. We need an ashbee who can I say should be a club ambassador, it's a crime he still hasn't got something to do with the club

We don't need a midfielder like that as any new midfielder will still be instructed to sit in a certain area on the pitch and not move ten yards from it.

Give our current midfield licence to roam a bit, go and support attacks, maybe drift out to either wing a bit, and then we might have some dynamic in the team.

That ginger haired **** of theirs today is a perfect example, he was all over the pitch, left flank, right flank, centrally, in our box, in his own. None of our midfielders ever do that, not because they don't know how but because no matter who plays there they're always told to sit together as a pair on the bloody halfway line as if it's a tightrope taut over a big fecking ravine.

I don't have SSN so have not witnessed the endless frothing that goes on in relation to the transfer window so I was wondering - does it end tonight?

I notice as I peer to the time and date on laptop that it's the 1st Feb today. It didn't end last night did it? Have I missed owt?

Where's Ash when you need him? Huddlestone, for all his undoubted ability as a footballer has no "umph", he's not going to lead you into battle, he'd be better leading an old lady across the road on a busy Saturday
I wouldn't trust him with my old lady, he'd probably lose interest half way across...

The window closes at 11pm Monday, and in our current predicament I think we would struggle to convince Ched Evans to sign for us lol

"Crystal Palace and Hull are weighing up a loan move for Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert, according to the Sunday People. "

Why don't we scrap the n'doye deal as he's another unproven stiriker (and come the summer we'll be saying we need another striker) and sign a decent midfielder eg Charlie Adam, lee cattermole we are crying out for someone with a bit of fight and someone to give Thudd a kick up the arse

Might come to being as Fenerbache (spelling) are reported to have tabled an offer for N'Dye too.

Dunno about getting some new faces.. we need to sort out what the hell is wrong with the ones we have, their mojo seems to have been nabbed, have to say we looked a much better outfit and more mobile without Thudd in the team, seems that Livermore takes on more responsibility and suddenly doesn`t have to babysit him. Those who have been clamoring for a central midfielder in the mold of Ashbee aren`t far off the mark, and the suggestion of Charlie Adams in my view would fit the bill. We seem to have no vocals in the middle of the park, and no one who can a) pass the ball with any conviction (as Thudd did when he first arrived or b) is prepared to get stuck into our team and give them the what for when they f**k up, it all seems too leisurely and dare i say, couldn`t give a flying fart attitude.

Still has something to offer but we have an abundance of midfielders who have nobody to pass to!
There are forwards to pass to, watch them, I have for the majority of the season (at home) they make run after run, which the midfield don't either see, or dare n't pick the pass, and decide to go backwards or side wards instead. The game is slowed down and by the time they are expected to do anything they are picked up by defenders.
There seems to be something with Tom Ince, nobody passes to him at all, on Saturday he was open on the right wing numerous times and ignored,
