As Swansea City officially said their goodbyes to Wilfried Bony, there were reports in Italy that they could be about to see the arrival of a rather unexpected striker. Swansea cashed in on Bony and it looks like business well done from the point of view of the Welsh club's finances at least. A big fee for the striker will certainly be useful to the club and given that he wanted to move, it was probably best to sell when his value was at its peak.

Swansea had been in a similar case with Michu not so long ago, when several Premier League clubs were ready to pay big fees for him but Swansea instead were insistent he'd stay. Michu then saw form and fitness issues and his value plummeted. He's currently on loan with Napoli until June but is in Spain right now recovering from injury and the Italian club's manager Rafa Benitez isn't counting on Michu for the future.

The situation is so dire that Corriere dello Sport in Italy claim that Michu could head back to Swansea before the end of his loan, during the current transfer window. That would allow him to continue his recovery from injury and then perhaps try and somehow get back to his old form. Right now, Napoli and Benitez aren't too interested in his future.

Swansea would have to agree to any return because Napoli are currently covering his wages and would obviously like that to stop if the loan ended.

Allan Jankowski has let out a little information which will certainly be of interest to fans of Swansea City and Cardiff City. The RC Lens defender is only 19 years old and has had a good season, which should lead to his current club offering him a deal which would really cement his status as a top footballer for them rather than youth prospect.
On top of that Jankowski has been contacted by the Polish football authorities and asked if he'd like to represent the country, starting at U21 level, it's a big boost for the youngster and has given him what he thinks are realistic aims of playing at Euro 2016 for the country, a tournament being held in France.
Speaking to the French media over the weekend, and quoted by But!, Jankowski explained that other clubs are interested. If Lens don't fancy giving him a new deal, he won't be short of offers from others outside of French football.
"Belgian clubs Genk and Lokeren and English clubs Birmingham City, Cardiff City and Swansea City are all interested in me."
Jankowski needs to quickly realise that neither Swansea or Cardiff are actually in England! There's not much more on the interest and it's thought he'll likely stay at Lens if the French club stump up a half decent contract.
