please log in to view this image

Those big round things they're bouncing on have seen better days.
What is has Yogi got on his nose and where will Booboo be diving?

Being reported that we will sign Kyle Naughton for £4m.

Unconvinced by this one these days.
Last summer I felt he was a decent enough punt, has good experience...but hasn't played well when I've caught him in a Spurs shirt this season.
5 Prem starts this term and he has been sent off twice

Hope not. For us to sell Davies and replace him with Naughton is a definite downgrade. Didnt fancy him when it was originally touted he was going to be part of the swap deal with Davies/Vorm /Siggy. To pay 4 mill now for him seems a waste. 3rd/4th choice for Spurs think we should be aiming a bit higher than him. Spurs fans didn't rate him either. The only reason I can think that Monk is interested is that he can play both left and right back but at that price seems a little expensive for a back up player.

I'm not impressed with our determination to buy Naughton as Bap says 'a definite downgrade'. Every time I've seen him play he's made dreadful errors.
Also since being at Spurs (4+ seasons) he's played just 42 Premier League games, has been on loan to three Championship clubs and is current 5th choice at Spurs.
My feeling is, not at any price.
We already have adequate cover in Jazz and Tiendalli both of whom I'd rate far higher than Naughon - what we need is a replacement for Ben Davies, i.e. a big improvement on Taylor.

Monk has said letting Ben Davies and Vorm go was the only way we could have got Siggy. Which ties in with the info I've had that Ben had no wish to leave us.

But we needed Gylfi more than Ben

Taylor is also an adequate replacement for Ben. Let's remember, Ben wasn't exactly pulling up any trees last season.

Soggy was the top priority in the summer and that's proved to be right but I wouldn't cough up £4m for Naughton

Man Utd paid £16 million for Rolo. I'd stick a £20 million price tag on him. That would stop that interest straight away.

Can' blame Amat fro accepting a move if it came his way - dropped down the pecking order and Spanish - no chance.

I hope the Naughton rumours are false.

Amat is surely in our long term strategy and shouldn't be let go at all
