"The contract made by both Ki and Swansea includes a clause that the player will be guaranteed to play the least 20 games as a starter which Ki himself wanted and included.
The Chelsea game was his 20th game playing as a starter, and this is the game he resulted in heavy injury on his thigh. Ki told Laudrup that he would like to treat his injury in the Korean National Medical Centre as he precisely judged the facilities there are much better than those at the club.
However, Laudrup mistakenly believed that Ki was trying to make a lame excuse after his 20th game of him being starter so as to slack off as much as he can. That inconsiderate thought of Laudrup led him to him disliking Ki.
Laudrup later approved Ki of his suggestion and let him go get treated in Korea, and Ki believed Laudrup fully understood what he told him and took it to his heart with gratitude.
When Ki came back, Laudrup brought in new players at his position and started ignoring him and excluding him from game to game. and this continued for a while.
Ki realised something was wrong, and he asked Laudrup why he can't play as a regular starter. Laudrup said to Ki that he isn't trustworthy as a professional footballer and avoided Ki in any direct conversations."
Was how his father related the incident - so even if Ki had been injured (it coincided with family celebrations) Ki's objection was Laudrup had brought in players who could play in Ki's position. So he's off out of the country against his manager's wishes with a dead leg and objects to the club covering his absence. I'm not surprised Laudrup didn't trust him when you are told you can't have time to visit your family but get a 'serious' injury just when you wanted time off.
Not for the first time in his career Ki had upset people, either.
Some are saying they don't think Monk would have made promises, but given his record on speaking before thinking I'm not convinced.
Some of them are. Where will they take us in the future now they have a taste of selling players for big money ?Are these the same useless pricks that have taken us to where we are today?![]()
I can borrow my boys boots!! I won't do much tracking back mind. Some of them are. Where will they take us in the future now they have a taste of selling players for big money ?
What's gone before makes no difference to the future in football terms.
If we sell Gomis, who will be our striker ?
I can get my boots out of the attic,I will not want a fortune to play but will play with pride and I will not grizzle like a spoilt child if I'm on the bench. Some of them are. Where will they take us in the future now they have a taste of selling players for big money ?

As we go up the food chain with these players, you are going to get this spoilt childish ego driven nonsense, if he wants to go then he and his entourage can go, we want serious professional players not spoilt little brats. When you look at these articles some things become obvious, firstly his agent is acting like a pimp on heat, and there is no way Newcastle or Arsenal for that matter are interested, Newcastle turned him down in the summer, and Arsenal have plenty of bodies in they're forward line, matter of fact they have loaned out 2 of their strikers, so I can't see this being a serious transfer for them. Anyway why would we sell him to that tight fisted French git at Arsenal for £6 Million, when Pardew has reportedly offered £8 Million?
No big deal even if we do get rid of the want away child, we still have a better Striker in Emnes, and there is also Oliveira on loan so we will be fine in my view.......................![]()
Two points worse off![]()
What is the contract?Call me Mystic Meg lol. I did say we'd be up a creek if this happened and for that reason I always thought that we should have made it clear Bony was not for sale until the Summer. When it was obvious that Bony would be allowed to go my alarm bells were ringing because all it took was for another club to come in and trigger the Gomis contract with a bid and we'd be in trouble.
Very worrying if this is true.
