I think which ever area offers the best takeaway will close the deal. That and whichever landscape offers no hills. Training can be a bitch!
............. and who said all news is bad. Hopefully, he will fade away with some Leicester pounds and not be seen or heard of again. I only wanted him here if he was genuine about teaming back up with Harry and wanting to come to our club. Not to be.
Oh Stan, your wisdom will have probably already led you to the reason behind my intermittent participation on here accompanied by my rather tort responses. Right now being an oligarch with major Rusky exposure is definitely driving me to too much Whisky, so much so in fact that I have promised my body a 3 month sabbatical - that's going to make things even better!!! The one consolation will always be, how the Hell did I blag my way here in the first place anyway - And then I'll think of good ol China Arry and I'll think anything is possible. The old offer for a libation still stands although all the beauties have left on the Ferry not returning for 3/4 months due to the cold!!! As for The Palace? My connections here have had an offer directly from the money in supportive roles - enough to tempt them from Serie A. The money is on its way to Sarf East Larndan!!!
Hope for Palace that they learn from our experience with the money. As for the blagging, I have been waiting to be found out for over 30 years of work - surely someone must notice eventually that I'm making it up as I go along? All experience has taught me is when and where to put some effort in, I spend more time deciding not to do anything on the 'don't think about it and it will go away and it has no impact on the business anyway' principle than actually doing stuff, except talking. Survived yet another reorganisation last month, no questions asked, bizarre. I reckon most people, and definitely all the ones you respect and enjoy working with, are in the same boat - quietly scamming it. It's the people who actually think they are competent and act with certainty you have to be wary of. Will definitely try and engineer a trip to Copenhagen this year, once your booze moratorium is off.
I do like the fact that there are a few more of these stories floating around these days - the terms have to suit us as much as they do the player.
QPR make surprising offer to snatch Arsenal midfield target SPORT WITNESSSport Witness Football View Discussions Yann M'Vila, he of a thousand transfer windows passed is once again right in the thick of this one. M'Vila was supposed to be of France's best footballers by now and that was based on genuine talent. Seen as a future France captain, he'd already got himself over 20 caps for the country by a relatively young age. Bad luck, bad decision making and a little harsh treatment were to see that progress halted. After appearing at Euro 2012 he was asked to go down to France's U21s to help them out, no problem for M'Vila until he took a taxi to Paris with some teammates and went partying for an evening, without permission and against club rules. That saw him get a lengthy ban from the French national team and, along with other controversies, stained his character. Arsenal had been repeatedly interested but didn't go through with it and other clubs back away. M'Vila ended up at Rubin Kazan. A loan to Inter Milan hasn't worked out too well and now M'Vila looks to be on the market again. We covered claims from Italy yesterday that he'd be up for Arsenal again but the bigger question is whether Arsene Wenger would now take the chance, it remains to be seen. On Monday it was claimed on Sky Italia, via TMW, that QPR fancy a move for M'Vila and are being quite creative about it. QPR are said to have been knocking on Inter's door with the offer of Adel Taarabt in exchange. One of the problems for QPR is that Inter don't own M'Vila, Rubin Kazan do. It'll be a complicated one but in Italy they're pretty sure intent is there.
Bad move going for Defoe, he's not the player he once was and he cant keep spending 5-10 million on players on top of 60k + wages. Why is it we are the only club that cant scout untapped talents from the lower leagues or abroad.
I was just thinking a random thought yesterday about QPR looking around Eastern Europe and Germany. I recon there's a lot of good players in Poland and Croatia, etc. And I bet the German second league has some great youth players. They might be hard to pry away, though.
Completly agree with you i also bet some of the Spanish second devision teams have some great youngsters that could actually pass a ball more than 5 yards. We need a long term plan now focusing on what "type" of players we want for the team i.e strong or technical players.
But I'd still like to believe that there is good, young, British talent, too. Unfortunately, they're often overpriced. But we've just got this Irish young lad in, so that's good.
Lets hope he comes good. When was the last time we had someone come through the academy. We wont progress as a club until we sort that out. Look at Southhampton, sold half the team and still came good.
I have to disagree. Defoe is more than proven at this level and would do a great job. I am, howver, just as concerned about the service to the strikers as I am about getting decent strikers.
