He was brilliant for a couple of seasons at AC Milan as a kid, but real problems since. I think he had issues simply with getting bigger in his late teens. Why he's back in Brazil now, not still at a big European club. Sad story, don't think he has anything to offer us. As you say Beth, not got legs.
Read in the paper today we're in for Celtic CB Ambrose for 2 million (even though we're not buying anyone)
Isn't Pato the one that all of Brazil sent to the slaughter at the World Cup cause he couldn't score to save his life? Or was it they wanted him to play more cause they couldn't score? My ageing brain can never remember these things and quiet often just makes it all up as it goes along.
I don't think he was in the squad at all Lone, they had Fred, Jo and Hulk plus, of course, Neymar up front - only one of those a proper Brazilian forward.
Thank god for that, maybe it would be good if it happened. Maybe the beast can have a word with him, tell him how lovely Sheperd's Bush and Westfield are.

Mods, could we possibly make this a stickie, hopefully keep all speculation in here without a million new threads appearing.

QPR are primarily interested in adding players on loan this month and, on top of Defoe’s wages, are not willing to pay a further fee for the former England international. Leicester City are also hoping to sign the 32-year-old, with Harry Redknapp now moving onto other attacking targets. The Loftus Road club had been close to doing a deal for Defoe in the summer transfer window but, despite reaching an outline agreement, Toronto would not release him immediately. The form of Charlie Austin has slightly eased the pressure on Redknapp to add another striker but potential deals for both Zárate and Manning have been progressing. Zárate would join on loan from West Ham United for the immediate relegation battle while Manning, an 18-year-old from Galway, is regarded as a prospect for the longer term.
Di Marzio: “QPR offer Taarabt for M’Vila, Inter…” 0 Nima Tavallaey Roodsari January 6, 2015 00:06 Latest articles please log in to view this image Yann M’Vila has been rumoured to be on his way out of Inter. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Premier League outfit QPR have offered to take the Frenchman off Inter’s hands in exchange for ex Milan player Adel Taarabt but Inter have declined the offer at least for the moment. For the time being Inter aren’t interested as the main targets remain Lavezzi and Shaqiri, but could make this swap in case both deals fall through as a last minute deadline day deal.
The only problem with this story is that it doesn't mention once the fact that he's only on loan at Inter, he belongs to Rubin Kazan. I'd like it to be true just so we're rid of Taarabt, which will hopefully mean no more Adel threads in 2-3 years time. But at the same time, let's not forget that he chose the money at Kazan as apposed to joining us last year. Does he seem the right sort?
