That is a very difficult call, as they really need both official recognition from the club and an agreed line of communication as a minimum level of relationship; I have seen nothing that indicates they have either, only personal links of one sort or another.
Their response, to the ongoing name-change campaign of the club, will only serve to exacerbate the relationship issues that currently exist. I can't help but believe the outcome is a lost, very effective one cause campaign group and the birth of a less effective, fundamentally incomplete Trust. This has been my concern for some time and I believe the change is premature.
Was a decent reason given why the name-change review results were moved from November 2014 to Feb 2015? It seems strangely coincidental that the change accommodates the threats of AA to leave/stop investment, by bringing in the Jan window as an active one before any decision is announced.
So the HCST is just the CTWD - but with its name changed! How ironic!

I disagree with that. It needs no level of relationship with the club to listen to and for fans to raise issues with them. It simply needs coordination.
If it's something that affects enough fans, and has little baring on the name change, the club have shown that they will at least listen to reasoned argument. In my view, so far the wrong people have been using that aproach and the club have made some misguided decisions.
The club see the group as CTWD, so the group need to actively show where and how they are different.
They (HCST) do listen, but where can they take these issues you speak of? The whole objective is for the Trust to work with the club, to do that they need to be able to communicate with it beyond the cans and string they currently have in place. If you speak of issues that do not require club involvement then, yes, you are correct.
If the issues are raised by fans, it doesn't initially need a formal dialogue. At the moment various individuals and groups are getting things from the club, the HCST could simply act as a more significant conduit and a focus for issues to save conflicting views or duplication.
If from that the Club (and fans) see that the trust is actually representative of fans and not just CTWD, the dialogue will follow.
Although there have been folk associated with CTWD and the HCST taking these issues to club hosted meetings, they have not done so as official representatives of either group. It is just (more?) as effective to bring the issues to the NOT606 board members attention so that whoever attends the next meeting can raise them - this has been offered by some. As you say, there has been occasion when it seems the club has listened to reasoned argument.
I'm not talking of the working group meetings. They have attended those as CTWD reps though, there has been no official not606 reps at any meetings.
There are plenty of others approaching the club in other ways.
All that is academic though, the point is that HCST need to show to both the club and fans that they're something beyond CTWD.
Let me be clear; are you saying it is the (CTWD) the Trust who recognise you as their official representative and that the club officially recognise and fully accept that? If that is the case then the situation has changed over the festivities.

I still find it baffling how a group of people volunteering in there spare can come across a million times more professional then a multi million pound company.
As for working with the club. I doubt it will happen. Allam doesn't listen to governing body that rules the sport. Let alone a group of volunteers.

That is correct, we asked the club to formally recognise a CTWD representative at the meetings and I was put forward as that representative and the club agreed. It didn't happen over Christmas, it happened between the first and second meetings.
To be honest, I thought we'd had this conversation already.
I understand your point and I am not playing Devil's Advocate. I believe the club must offer recognition and some level of credibility to the new Trust (it is a forlorn hope for CTWD). I believe there are distinct advantages for the club to do that, but the intolerance of the owner will preclude it. Having said that, I do believe the Trust will follow the Ad Hoc route you outline.
