Yes, but a nasty smelling turd will always be a nasty smelling turd, no matter what it's called.
Then what's the point in changing the name to Hull Tigers?

Yes - there are a few, but I, like many other Supporters, am thoroughly bored with the whole name change thing & now that the HCST has shown its true colours as just the CTWD (with a new name ironically) in another guise I shall not be joining. I was hoping that the HCST would be a new group representing all supporters - not just the anti-Allam CTWD in disguise.
Oh, they're not Anti-Allam, they're just Anti-NameChange.
They still want him to stick around and plough his millions into the club.

He's not ploughing any more money into the club whatever happens and rightly so, he's done enough, the club should be self funding now anyway. It's fortunates are certainly not going to be improved by some complete bullshit pointless name change.
I have no idea, but then as I don't own Hull City Football Club, I don't reckon I have the right to tell the owner what he can or cannot do with his property.

I think that if the HCST was serious about being a new group representing all Supporters - and not just being the CTWD with a name change - then the last thing it should have done is start off by make a major statement on the name change To me, it just shows that it's not a new group, which is a shame and a missed opportunity. You seriously think any group representing the fans of Hull City could completely ignore the name change nonsense?
It's the elephant in the room, it can't possibly just be ignored.
But you do have the right! You've followed the club through thick and thin, you helped keep it afloat in its darkest hour, you are part of the very soul of the club. You have every right to make your opinion heard and you have every right for your opinion to be respected and taken into account (so long as it tows the party line of the vocal majority).
It's not his property anyway, he is merely a custodian. If the FA so wish, they could seperate him from his duty of stewardship.
Adding the nickname to the proper name would give you Hull City AFC Tigers.Or forgetting the AFC Hull City Tigers. What he is going to do is reduce our name by 50% and add Tigers.Okay, put it another way, I don't want the right. In my view, the guy that has spunked £100m to save and develop the club deserves the right to add the nickname to the proper name for what he believes to be the benefit of the club. In my eyes what he has done for the club gives him that right.
Can you tell me by what regulation / law the FA can separate Mr. Allam from his "custodianship" of the club ?
What, so your're saying Assem Allam is not still subsidising the club?
The last accounts show he took £5.5 million out of the club in loan repayments, in addition to the interest charged on the loans.

By "spunked" do you mean given or loaned with interest being paid to him?
That's no way to talk about our owner.

Good on him. He deserves a bit back. I hope he eventually makes a profit; the level of risk he attached to his family's fortune, he deserves to double his money.
He deserves all of it back. He's close to getting most of the money he put in back, what with the corporation tax he's saved. As he appears not to be selling I think doubling his money will be a very conservative estimate. After all buying Hull City only cost him a few quid.

. Pathetic.I thought you were brighter than that.
