Cricket has two on field and two off field umpires, the latter having access to TV images. If a far slower paced game makes such an effort to ensure its officials get things right, why is football still in the 19th century?
Nice to see the media running with Mourinho's latest line of gibberish, genuinely discussing whether there's a campaign against Chelsea's diving squad. When is one of them going to grow some balls and call him out on it? No wonder he loves the press over here.
I have stated already on another board. Mourinho doesn't believe this at all. A few of our players have been clocked diving recently, and because of this we did not get a penalty in the Stoke game (Boy who cried Wolf, you could say its karma, I wouldnt argue). So now Jose is reverse Psyching the situation by claiming refs are targetting us, so now they will ease up on booking our players for diving and denying penalties (whether deserved or not), just a mind game he likes to play....nothing more.
I know that and you know that, yet the media don't call him on it. It's like Ferguson and all the bullshit mindgames that he used to play, banning anyone who asked any questions that he didn't like and refusing to do interviews. I can only imagine that either the media have disappeared entirely up his Special Arse or there's a similar situation at Chelsea.
Roll on the Sheff Utd match, I want Wembley. If poch gets us there then the Saint's good vibes from the past is still working for us, just hurry up and come.
It appears that the Pardew to Palace rumour actually has some legs and that the club are in negotiations with Newcastle. Paddy Power have likened this to being dumped by somebody that you suspected wasn't good enough for you in the first place!
I'm sure Ashley will screw Palace for every last penny and then laugh his arse off that he's gotten rid of Pardew on the cheap. Unfortunately, for Toon fans, he'll only hire another Yes man to replace him.
Why would Palace want Pardew? Is he the last manager on this planet? I can't see what Pardew can do for Palace....except,maybe,take 'em down!
Swansea have been crap tonight, especially Shelvey, so they don't deserve anything out of this, but how on earth is Sterling still on the pitch? Clearly strikes Fernandes in the face and not only is it right in front of the linesman, but he actually has to reach over his shoulder to do it. Unbelievable.
The team which wasn't good enough was Swansea, not Liverpool. Catch them on a bad day and Swansea can look a poor side. Liverpool had some good individual performances, Adam Lallana is a good footballer and he showed it tonight.
Swansea were terrible. Some poor selections by Monk, with Shelvey managing to stand out as being particularly ****e.
