Sterling should have been punished for that slap, but how can none of you point out how Shelvey should have been sent off in the first half for elbowing Can?
Somewhat true Think both will be punished anyway, and rightly so, along with the Cisse elbows yesterday.
Cisse should get more than a 3 game ban. One elbow's bad. Repeatedly doing it should result in a forced MMA bout.
I agree. I found it quite shocking that some Geordies on here were saying that people were overreacting about the whole incident. Crazy!
Anyone seen this yet? Article from the Fail: Blunder referee Anthony Taylor apologised to Jose Mourinho for failing to award a penalty when Cesc Fabregas was tripped at Southampton on Sunday. It has emerged that Taylor, who instead booked Fabregas for diving in the 1-1 draw, said sorry to the Chelsea boss before both had left St Mary’s. Mourinho claimed afterwards the official would be ‘ashamed’ of his decision and went on to say that a campaign had been started against his Chelsea players after the latest allegation that they are prone to cheating. Pressure pays off!
He deserves a 9 game ban. Send a message out that elbowing is a serious offence and will be punished even if the officials don't see it.
Says it all about Ashley and his "love" of Newcastle. You have to feel sorry for their fans. As for Pardew, surely the headline should read "years ago" instead? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...nvenience-and-were-right-to-get-divorced.html
We saw the blatant cheating when Chelsea were awarded a penalty against WBA last season to draw the match 2-2, a match they should have lost. We've sen their incredible luck with arm control and handball and offside goals haven't we. IF there is a campaign then it's fully justified by their behaviour. Scotland just doesn't have the managers any more does it? Irvine being the latest casualty after Moyes. Strachan is the only one left and he's rubbish. Just why Pardew went to Newcastle in the first place baffles me, he will double his salary at Palace but whether he'll be successful there is doubtful.
As suspected, Bale to Utd rumours all total bollocks!... http://www.insidespanishfootball.co...ll-never-listen-to-any-offer-for-gareth-bale/
I strongly disagree regarding your view on Gordon Strachan. For me he comes across as someone who accepts that however long you have been in and around the game, there are always new things to learn. On his TV work, he always takes time to listen to his colleagues, recognising their right to have a viewpoint and taking on board their comments. He just seems willing to educate himself more about the game and I think this is borne out by the very decent job he is doing as Scotland's national coach.
Strachan is for me one of the most intelligent people in the game he has many times educated me on it's finer points . Completely agree OS
Strachan always gives hilarious interviews, too. Reporter: "So, Gordon, in what areas do you think Middlesbrough were better than you today?" Strachan: "What areas? Mainly that big green one out there..."
