Tottenham have announced that Seattle Sounders defender DeAndre Yedlin will join the club in January. The United States right-back, 21, signed a four-year contract with Spurs in August and has now been granted a work permit to enable him to play. "It's important for his development he's given time to adapt to his new surroundings on and off the pitch," said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino. "Coming to us in January it will give him the best opportunity to do so."

No, though he did look good in those games. More from his games for Granada and Sporting (where he broke through as a teenager). TBH I'm not even sure why he as not played a game for us. Loans make sense but he had 6 months with us before his Granada loan last season.

Berahino (and Bolasie, for that matter) are exactly the type of player who I'd expect us to go and buy and overspend on....not a good idea
Berahino hadn't done anywhere near enough to justify a £25m price tag. He's not even done enough to justify the £15m suggested above!!!
We need to sort out the defensive side first and foremost. We have attackers who will create chances and score goals. What we need is a GK, RCB and a DM.
We're starting to create more chances, and I think the goals will certainly come with the existing players we have. With the likes of Migs, Jones, Skrtel, Johnson, Gerrard at the opposite end, we will continue to concede goals. We need to become more solid and stop making so many stupid errors.
I think we got real real lucky yesterday and need a lot more talent Watching matic play for Chelsea gave me a Louis Walsh moment. He reminded me of a young Steven Gerrard What a player. You can't win titles with a rubbish defence. Teams with sustained success have good defences. And our attack can score goals - we would have beaten arsenal had it not been down to stupid mistakes by the clown in our defence. The problem is a new GK won't solve much - the keeper will need better defenders ahead of him, and the defence needs better protection ahead of them. Agreed with MITO - anyone who thinks Lucas and Gerrard are good, they really need to watch Matic play. This is the required quality we need for that position.
