New one needed... Can't believe we allowed Valdes to train at United, aka make it ****ing difficult to get him. Enyeama, Mandanda, Begovic, Handonovic, would take any of these guys in a heartbeat. Proven, played at the top level and big tournaments, not afraid to get into the ass of someone if they aren't pulling their weight and will come off the line.
Brad Jones is on a mission to establish himself as Liverpool FCâs No 1 and secure a new contract at Anfield.
The Australian shot-stopper has been thrust into the spotlight after Brendan Rodgersâ patience with Simon Mignolet ran out.
Jones has started the Redsâ last three matches and is set to keep his place for the Boxing Day trip to struggling Burnley.
The 32-year-oldâs future beyond this season is uncertain. His current deal expires next summer and there have been no talks over an extension.
But the lifelong Reds fan, who has made just 26 appearances during four-and-a-half years at Anfield, is determined to grasp the chance to prove he can be the long-term solution to the clubâs goalkeeping problems.
We have to wait till summer..clubs are not going to let go their good keeper in the middle of the season.
Brendan Rodgers mistake was to let Pepe Reina go.
He was right to try and replace him but ****ed up with the replacement.
From Middlesborough in the Championships bench to Liverpool number one?
If it happens lets make a film.

I get the impression we rushed to find a replacement. We looked at the two best options in the Premier League outside of the top 6, saw Mignolet and Begovic and chose the youngest.
On hindsight we should have signed Vorm if time was so limited. But in total reality we should have taken our time and looked abroad. Every one knew Reina was likely to leave for months before the season ended. The deal was dealt with like it happened with out warning.

He's a life long Liverpool fan?! No wonder he's ****... all our life long fans have been **** for us. We need to sign more Everton fans![]()

I'be said yes and would love to see Begovic arrive at the club in January.
Jones deserves his shot. I reckon he should be our No 1 until he shows form that says he shouldn't.
He really, really doesn't. Brad Jones is one of the least talented goalkeepers to play in the Premiership. Let's be honest, we can all laugh at this because most of them played for Man Utd!
But seriously... remember Arsenal winning 8-0 against Boro... guess who was in goal? Guess who should have stopped 5 of them at least! And he's not got any better. His reactions are really slow for a top level goalkeeper, his handling is adequate, and his kicking and distribution tends to be very weak.
Mignolet is a much better keeper, he just is. He's not had a brilliant time, thus far, but he is a good keeper. The question for me is whether he's suited to Liverpool's game. Mignolet is a shot-stopper, he's not an all-round ball player like Lloris or Nueur, which is the kind of the goalkeeper Rodgers probably requires.
I'd say giving Mignolet time is imperative. Much more time. De Gea is only now looking solid for Man Utd, he spent two years as an absolute clown.
He is an intelligent chap, he's got a degree, I think he can adapt better given time.
