Hasn't got a great individual record. I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be glad if it's a loan deal as the cover is definitely needed with Mane off for the African Cup of Nations and Rodriguez out injured still but I'd be slightly disappointed to see him as a permanent signing.

I am not prepared to turn my nose up at any new faces since we don't normally make January signings and there were noises a few weeks ago that it would be the same this year.

I just figure if we are looking at signings this early it shows very good focus from the back room team.
Whether he works out is only part of the issue in my mind. It is not possible to have a 100% record with transfers but you cannot get above 0% if you don't sign anyone...

January is a difficult window. We probably know the players we want in the summer to move us forwards, but January signings are often to fill a need (which may be temporary). Also other clubs may be chasing titles or fighting relegation and therefore will not be in a hurry to lose important players. Loans are the best, unless a serious target becomes unexpectedly available.

Link please. I don't play FM and don't follow the Bundesliga so the name Eljero means nothing to me. I cant be the only one in this position.

Once an extremely well-regarded youngster, never really made good on his promise; has struggled to nail down a consistent starting spot with three consecutive clubs. Very fast, skillful, sometimes lacking in end product, a notably bad finisher. Solid cover though, all things considered.
