Heads gone! And I too judge players by their individual performance - but I think its silly not to look at their form too. Gerrard was poor today, as he has been most of the season. I think other players deserve a chance, and keeping Gerrard in leads to other players being pulled out of their natural position - square peg, round hole sort of thing. Gerrard should come on for the last 30 mins behind a striker. He should not be starting now.
Your quote never mention Brod saying it wasn't a freekick (and I didn't listen to his interview) I responded to what you put and it was both a freekick and a dive. We see both happen all the time because referees don't give the freekick unless a player hits the ground.
Gerrard has no place in this team. He offers nothing - both defensively and rarely going forward. An absolute liability. He needs to be binned along with Skrtel.

You would be forgiven for thinking Gerrard was an Everton fan who mugged off all your grans. When you realise its Steven ****ing Gerrad, the man who single handedly won you a European Cup you had no right to win, the man who has won more games for you on his own than you have had hot dinners, the man who gave his career to your club when he could have went anywhere and won trophies with much better teams, its rather astonishing. You would have lost that game today if he wasnt on the pitch, you had umpteen chances to win it and did not have the attacking quality to do so, and you want to blame Gerrard? Blame your manager for bringing in Rickie ****ing Lambert and Adam Lalana to replace Saurez, two championship players.
Gerrard wasn't the reason why we dropped points. But that doesn't mean he was amazing. He's been average for the past 5 years and i guarantee you that if his name was not Steve Gerrard, he would be getting more stick from fans and the media, who are still too blind to see his negative impact on this team. This team has a lot of problems and he is one of them. Unfortunately, we are not going to progress until Skrtel, Lucas, Gerrard are injured because Rodgers doesn't have the balls to drop them.

Happy for Sakho as well - was afraid he would struggle after coming back from injury but he's slotted right in. Toure and Skrtel happy to pass to him because they know he will pass forward and direct to the midfield.
