Created better chances... Poor finishing meant it was only 1-0. Our keeper played well but other than Perez getting 1 v 1 I can't remember a "clear" chance from anywhere but long range for you lot. We were better first half and you were better second. We should've been at least 2-0 up through Wickham in the first half. Have a merry Christmas lads. I will!!

I'd agree with that. Sunderland the better team for me bar the opening 20 mins and a 10 min spell in the 2nd.

If you can be proud of the team in Red and White, that says something about you <laugh>

God you're a bad loser! FFS get over it. 5 fouls from Tiote and 1 from Coates. All of Tiote's worse than Coates and he got a yellow after 5!! Sums up how arrogant and biased you are 15 fouls each. Not including the 3 on Johnson in the lead up to the goal. Johnson, Larson and two from Wickham. All sitters missed and you call THAT daylight robbery!

Watching the game as a neutral I thought a draw would have been the fair result, Sunderland had the better in the first half, you the better in the 2nd. But **** happens in football, as Saints have found out recently. I hope Pardew isn't going to be blamed for this result. I don't particularly like the man but he didn't do anything wrong tactically, and you didn't play badly. You just didn't take your chances and got caught on the break which happens to everyone when you go for the win.

A lot of common sense in that! Well said <applause>

He needs to take a win from somewhere so let him have it mate. Maybe their fair play will get them into the Intertoto again.

Thank you from a neutral! JPF is the about most biased and blinkered mag there is. In fact I think he blamed the horse for nutting that blokes fist <whistle>

To be fair JPF, you expect both teams to be a bit dirty in a derby, and reading what neutrals have said it sounds like both were. At least we didn't pick up any more suspensions as far as I know. Taylor is a concern for another injury though. We can't afford anymore as we're down to the bare bones as it is.

Back up your "dirty bastards" comment then? 15 fouls v 15 fouls. If Perez had kept going instead of stopping to ensure Cattermole got booked you may have scored yourselves. Johnson wanted the win more than Perez and it showed and we won. Bad loser

You've lost TIOTE for the next game. Picked up his 5th yellow today.

Yes, because our 15 fouls were similar to yours? <laugh>

Wickham went to nobble the goalkeeper, O'Shea went to nobble Sissoko. Our fouls were the normal professional fouls, and whatever the **** Colo was trying to do with Fletcher, hump him or some ****.

I genuinely thought a draw was a fair result. Newcastle started well, Sunderland came into it with both sides having chances Sunderlands more open. Good end to end and game didn't warrant so many yellows.
I did notice something that has happened fairly regular with Newcastle, they are on the attack and lose the ball on the edge of opponents area then before you know it it's in the back of their own net due to shocking marking.
