Sahin currently can't get into a Dortmund side who have him on loan from Madrid who don't want him.

Screams of a guy who wants to take no blame.

Hasn't he been injured for a few months?

The guy was instrumental in Dortmund title wins a few years back.

Speaking of Asian players... anyone see about the Chinese guy that one of the german team bought?

Reckon something like 50m people in Chine will watch his first interview and it's being broadcast on main stream tv.

I know shouldn't sign players for the wrong reasons.. but from a marketing point of view, it's a no brainer isn't it. £1m transfer fee and say £30k wages a week..

I follow Dortmund quite closely as I find their drop insane, still can't find answer for it.

But anyway, the guy hardly plays for them. Either starts and gets replaced and doesn't play at all.

I was really happy we got Sahin and maybe he was used incorrectly but to basically throw his toys out the pram because he was played a bit further forward is embarrassing.

Yep I heard about that. Apparently he's a decent player but not good enough.

But I do agree - we should be looking at these opportunities. If only Suarez wasn't a biter (amongst other things) and was better looking, then he would have been a marketing dream.

Fair enough but it must be frustrating to be played out of position. He was a class player, and would be perfect as the DLP only to play as number 10. It's two completely different positions.

Shinji Okazaki?

Done really well this season, scoring seven goals in the league for a poor team.

The Echo have dismissed rumours that we're in for Ochoa.

They also say that Rodgers wants a GK and a striker in January.

And there will no changes to the transfer strategy i.e. we will continue to buy young talent rather than ready made world class players. (Which I agree with)

Costa and Sanchez type players we should still be targeting, it's stupid just to rely on inexperienced youth. Even Arsenal (unfortunately) have finally realised this.

Brad Friedel and Peter Crouch <ok>
