Shocking substitutions, taking both strikers off just invited them on to us. Then he did the same thing again at West Brom four days later.
He's improving all the time too. I'd have him in rather than Livermore at the moment, and certainly above the likes of Ramirez if he's even available. Another player like Bruce who gets belittled by fans expecting us to have world-class players in every position but who actually give everything for the team
I do agree with that. That was to blame for the 2nd goal. But I think Quinn was definitely culpable for letting them back in the game. If I remember rightly the two negative substitutions came at 2-1. The other being Aluko for Hernandez which, especially considering how poor Abel had been, was probably a sensible option.
There's nothing sensible about playing Aluko as a lone striker, he's about the least suited to it in our entire squad.
Ramirez is a very different player to Quinn and i think Ramirez has a lot to offer. Quinn is useful in the right system but i don't think he was played in a good position against West Brom and if i was him i would be annoyed as it made him look bad when really he is a decent player in the right position.
Great to see Quinn sign a new deal. Good squad player that saves us cash by resigning, plus I love his attitude on the field.
Not yet signed it. But close to it according to Steve Bruce. Will be good news when he does John. Quinn proved yet again @ Everton that he is more than good enough in the PL. We aint gone down yet FFS. Relax and stay calm. Not a chance ffs. It was Quinn's sloppy pass and both Davies and Robertson failed to carry out basic defending duties. That is what cost us the Newcastle win. In saying that the point now looks a good one. As for the WBA coc game we were in total control and then got sloppy again when it matered most. Felt for Rosie in the end that night as the capt.
