I've noticed this too. In reality he was awful for most of the game. Its just easy journalism to praise him to the hilt. Having said that it was a brilliant freekick and a great moment which led to a late rally. Key with Stevie is to manage him and not play him all game, every game and make him to the donkeys work - because he hasn't got it in him anyone, or at least to the standard we require. Trouble is the rest of the squad isn't pulling its weight so we keep going back to him.
DDG Rafa Evans Rojo Shaw Carrick Herrera Di Maria Mata Rooney RVP Rafael, di maria, shaw are all expected to be fit. If we line up like that, and we should, bring your own ball as you wont be getting a touch of the match ball. Chances are we wont line up like that though.
Pretty good team that. Evans I would target, but we haven't got anyone to really target him except with Sterling's pace. The fact that Carrick is as slow as a canal boat also tells that we need some pace to attack through the centre.
You quoted 5-3-2 with Young and Valencia played as wingbacks with 3 CB's. That's only happened once. If Shaw was playing I wouldn't put it past him to go with 3 CBs again the donut. But after the fiasco against Saints, and having played both Young and Valencia successfully at home in a back 4, it's more likely he'll go with that.
At home he will go with a 4. Just hoping fellaini doesnt play after his horror show. Not that mata or herrera were any better than night but they have shown some genuine quality at home. West ham a prime example of what they can do. As long as di maria plays it could get ugly for liverpool.
Where have you stated or implied it was after Gerrard scored, or more importantly even addressed the point I'm making that it was as a result of Gerrard scoring. It was the impetus for your shackles coming off. Don't see how you expect that on Sunday when they wouldn't do it on Tuesday without the goal? The only way I can see you attacking the way you did in those last 15 mins is if we go 2-0 up, you pull one back, it's 2-1 with 10 mins to go. Then the shackles will come off no doubt.
This is probably going to surprise the fck out of you UIR but Fellaini playing a higher role, as long as Carrick, Herrera and Mata also start, is actually ok. Without having to worry about sitting deep and defending, the safety net of Carrick and Herrera gaining and holding possession, and him just focusing on his attacking play and harrying their defense, Fellaini will be fine. Last couple home games have shown that.
He's got history against us. He good in the area and we're ****e from set pieces. I could definitely see him scoring.
The most positive thing treble has ever said about fellaini before now is 'thank **** hes off' Thank being the positive
so true It's nothing personal, I don't hate the guy for the sake of it. I don't even think it's his fault. He's just simply not a United player or good enough to wear the shirt. But he's done a job in the last couple of home games and I'll give anyone a chance who does that. BUT having said all that I just remembered...will Di Maria be back??
I don't expect that on Sunday, I've already posted what I expect Brod to do. What you quoted was a conversation about what we should do. IE; we won't lol
Felliani is good at fouling our players and getting them them sent off for it. Evans as this in his locker too.
Since goining United, he's even lost the knack of doing that. Now he'll simply get himself sent off Who remembers this magical, mazy run and moment of wizardry?
That's a fcking dilemma and a half tbf. I'd rather have Balotelli than play with 10 men. Not sure I can say the same about Fellaini.
