You're obviously new to the sport called Association Football. If you don't know what "have a go" means in footballing terms, then I suggest you stick to the Dominoes Club.
Let us examine it. QPR sat back all game, put 10 men behind the ball and relied on their Keeper having the game of his life. I say they should'nt have employed those tactics and should have had a go instead. Yet you somehow amazingly don't understand what that meant. You are the first football fan I've ever come across that does not understand what that means.

Championship squad? You mean like the one you were promoted with via the Playoffs a few years ago yet still managed to finish top half? Or the subsequent teams that have done similar for you in the next two seasons by supplementing the squad and not throwing cash around?
Pity old Droopy couldn't pull off his "usual miracles" two years ago when he had 26 games to get us out of the mire. Oh and with Southampton aswell. Go on their Board and tell 'em how much of a quality Manager 'Arry is and see how long you last.

The difference is the QPR play a very traditional 'English' game with 'English style' players, we never have (although this season Monk has dabbled). QPR's team looked like a big strong unit that would be brilliant in the Championship. To succeed in the Prem Swansea continued with a style of play that is more continental and that difference means most opposition has to change to mindset to play us - some do , some don't. For QPR to do well they have to always outperform the opposition where as we can do our own thing when in possession and match up when we don't have the ball.
That sounds pompous but it works - being different means we don't have to better others just do what we do, well.
Also our fans have developed a patience and appreciation of things that I don't see in many other clubs; applauding a neat triangle of passes to get out of trouble in defence, huge cheers for a header won in midfield (it was Leon though), not getting on the back of players who aren't having a good game, I believe that attitude reaches the players and allows them to perform without fear of failure.

"Have a go" - definition .... what pub teams do in the west end of London on a Sunday when they're too pissed to do anything useful but not too pissed to know that it's either run around a field gasping for air in between puffs on a *** or go home and listen to your wife tell you what a f**ing loser you are. All the while caught up in a dream that you're Roy of the f**ing Rovers (Rangers if you come from a certain butt end of London) and therefore think that "Having a Go" is the height of sophistication - the football tactic equivalent of picking your nose with your little finger.
Harry started with two up front so he came with the intention of scoring goals. The trouble is that your team hasn't yet grasped the fundamental concept of how to press as a unit, or doesn't have the stamina to do it for more than one second at a time, or can't pass for s**t when you do have possession, then it doesn't really matter whether they "Have a go" or not. You can't "Have a go" when we're moving the ball around in your half and you're chasing shadows ..... because as Toshack once said .... "you're a club playing in the Premier League, not a Premier League Club".
You're a little club now. You happen to be in the butt end of London, which gives you delusions of grandeur. Your new nickname is "yoyo" and despite Harry's best efforts your lot still don't know how to play for 90 minutes.
You came within 12 minutes of stealing a point thanks to listening to your manager and trying to play with discipline and organization ... which is your only refuge when as a team you can't keep possession against a team that can.

I'm pleased to report that the south-west corner gave Shelvey warm applause when he come over to take corners, rather than be apoplectic with rage.
Yep - the majority of Swans fans who attend matches are behind Shelvey. He came on and had a positive impact, as did Dyer. As for Joe Fish's comment that he foolishly overcomplicated things having rounded Green, that may have something to do with the fact there were two QPR defenders preventing him putting a cross over to Dyer.
Utter cobblers - he came on and immediately gave the ball away, then for good measure he did it again .. and again. He most certainly did not make a positive impact and again, by nature or instruction, he left the defensive position to others.In fairness he took a good corner. No fans, I could hear, were anything but supportive during the game.
Dyer had huge impact and the crowd buzzed in response to Carroll's touches in the few minutes he had.
I wouldn't blame Shelvey for not scoring he was still getting in to the pace of the game and Green did everything right to take control (not being a quick thinker Shelvey couldn't cope with the situation and, i think, few midfield player would have).
If Shelvey is played up field more , he would be one hundred percent ,a better player ..As it is , if he is subject to "" defensive responsibilities"" , prepare to see more Ashley william type long balls .Id like to see him running more toward the goal and nodding passes over to oncoming forwards for tap ins like he did with Michu that time , what a play .

For fukk's sake Yankee, I guarantee that if you were in our position with a Manager doing what he's doing with every away game - effectively surrendering before a ball is kicked - you'd be as frustrated as we are. You off all people (a Swans fan) should know exactly whats required having achieved promotion. Your first season up was a template for everyone.
Harry's got to get his sh*t together. He's spent more than Burnley and Leicester combined yet he's no better than them. If he don't beat Burnley this weekend then he's in serious trouble.
As for Friar Tuck's Swans, I can see you going from strength to strength. Its great seeing a smallish Club (in PL terms) being run really well and having a sound footballing philosophy behind it, particularly not spending crazy amounts of money to achieve it. Yourselves and the Saints are the best models there are.

He ended up playing behind Bony in Sigurdsson's position when Gylfi was substituted and looked far more at home there, leaving Carroll and Ki to do the defensive stuff.
Worst side to come to the Liberty in a long while, In fact I think I have to go back to Blackburn to think of a worse side. Thats not to say they wont pick up points at home where they seem to have a go rather than sit back and accept defeat. It is going to be another long season for their fans.
Not sure what you mean,but if it's - do I make predictions? - then the answer is,I can't remember the last time I did so on here,a public forum.
I do however make them in private,and have made a few pounds backing them. I don't get carried away though.
