I would play him next to Carrick, but he's played on the right for us a few times already and done very well. In the diamond he's not on the RW as the fullback (currently Valencia) is still being used as the wide man.
I wouldn't play him in front of Mata playing deeper (which seemed to be what we were doing today)

In your first team you have a 4231 formation with blind & Carrick holding and Herrera on the right. Unless you're saying he would play centrally then you'd have a totally unbalanced midfield with 4 in the middle and no one on the right.
So in short, you don't rate Felliani...?

But I rate Herrera very much (who you missed out). And I wouldn't put Mata anywhere other than as the number 10.

Here's the thing, in a 4-2-3-1 I'd have Herrera next to Carrick but then I have the Blind/Januzaj dilema. I'm also not keen on a lone striker although with those 5 creating/scoring behind maybe I'm being pessimistic. BUT in a diamond, Herrera plays on the right of the diamond and we keep two (Rooney + another) up front.
