Do similar banners at other clubs include names of groups or individuals behind them? I'm happy to be corrected, but I suspect they don't.
So what. I started the Man U match thread and said we need to be positive, SB wasnt and i felt it was a mistake. One of the very few he's made. He still has my total support, nothings ever perfect. No this is a Not 606 Hull City banner. Its a great suggestion from DMD and it should show our support after all the poodling. This may encourage other groups to do the same. I'm a little disappointed more board members havent commented or offered to donate but its early days.
Perhaps if we voted on a design and got a quote we could then do a then do a thread and see how many people can donate to see if we have enough.
To be fair, considering it was a throw away comment at four o'clock this afternoon, I think the response has been tremendous. It shows the high regard Steve Bruce is held in by City fans.
I could probably donate a few bucks, hard to do to much more than that this time of year with all the other things I donate money to this month.
I've voted and I'll donate. Excellent idea. I have no objection to CTWD being involved. Didn't the club provide a giant flag when we was in the championship? I like the design.
I don't feel CTWD should be affiliated to this, we don't need to make this 'political' - mainly 'cause I think the more casual board members (like me) don't read all the 'CTWD SUX' versus 'We welcome all opinions, as long as they're anti-Allam' arguments and will just not give it the time of day. I assume the main difficulty will be raising the cold hard cash, depending on the price of the flag will depend if I think it should be not606 or not. If its achievable with donations from this board, great, otherwise make it a Hull City-wide thing. The main thing is to get it off the ground.
CTWD will donate £50 towards the flag, we can also sort the flag at 50% off the normal price. That's not based on it being a CTWD flag, we're happy to just join other City fans in supporting our manager. We should also be able to sort the donations.
Happy Tiger I wasn't in ctwd . But if they organise this flag it is a POSATIVE thing . Same as the fans group they are going to become / become part of . Hello Mel ....I hope you come back on here Hope your keeping fine.
I agree Filey. We should be turning any negatives into positives. That was the statement I made to you that started this ball rolling. The negative of the walk up fans being in N5 means there's a gap for banners and flags to be displayed in a prominent some games. The negative of fans being separated around the ground means there's an opportunity to make distinct areas to accommodate different types of support. I'm sure you'll agree, there's opportunities in most situations if you apply a positive mid set.
As i'm unemployed and not a job looking likely in the near future, I won't be able to donate i'm afraid. I haven't voted in the poll and I won't have a say on design or placement because of that reason. But I totally agree with the idea.
