I'd take that. Still amazed that Toure isn't playing ahead of Lovren.

Torn on this one...I wish Lambert well, but not Liverpool. Perhaps Liverpool could lose 4-3 but SRL get a hat trick.

Should have been playing him more than that waste of space, Balotelli. Rickie would always work for you and, given game time, would get even better.

What's his PL goals to minutes played ratio..? Better than Balotelli's, that's for sure.

I hope the dubious goals committee give that as a GK own goal...

Come on, Punch. Do it for Saints (oh, and Crystal Palace :)).

Is it my imagination or has Rickie put some weight back on?

Wouldn't surprise me. He looked quite chubby during the first game of the season. Liverpool have let him go to seed, somewhat. Bad club.

I think you'll find that Redknapp attended Bale's birth, and cut the umbilical cord:)

Delighted Rickie has scored. Even more delighted that Gayle has equalised.

It's undeniable that Lowe played a part. But whenever articles come out they always talk about Walcott, Bale and OXO. They hardly ever mention Shearer, Le Tissier, Wallace trio, Williams, and a host of others, including Channon, Chivers, Paine, Sydenham, etc... from the beginning of my supporting era.

The club has been doing it for decades and decades, not just the last 10-15 years. Lowe put in more infrastructure and gave the Academy a higher profile, but to say it's all down to him is just utter uninformed poppycock.

Isn't the reason they don't mention them because it predated the academy and related to the YTS scheme.

Yeah we did produce a lot of players before Lowe's academy initiative, but we had a very lean spell in between.

It was obvious when Lowe was interviewed about the academy's future prospects he didn't really know what he was talking about.
