You are really bringing down the boards now.... insults are really not going to get you anywhere.... thank you
It is, of course, completely irrelevant what we paid for him. It has no baring on his contract, which, let's be honest, you know as much about as anyone else in Cardiff. We, on the other hand, know that as far as the club and we were concerned, he had another year to run. Obviously, if what he has done is legal, he has either found a loophole, or the club has screwed up. Either way, quite frankly, it's not your business to come on our boards and insult one of our own.
I thought I had explained it quite easily for you to be honest. Would you like me to explain it again? Further, by your own words you acknowledge that you are speculating as well. I suggest you pipe down.
Indeed 154 sums it up exactly, hard to believe the paralegal wouldnt have checked and the club know exactly where we stand, its times likre these they earn their £400+/hr or if they've got it wrong should be strung up...
Come on guys - Swamp is probably correct and we know it - MM it seems took with him details of the players contracts etc so he could get the best deals for Cardiff. It is an outside chance that MM rather than Watford cocked up and the contract was subject to a one sided option but I am not going to hold my beath - if MM has made a mistake he will not be too popular but I have no idea how a fee would then be resolved
thanks, anyone with any common sense would acknowledge that the club would have a pretty good idea that we could get him on a free without any legal wrangle to follow. bradleys dad and hornette, i agree that i am speculating as well, but i'll eat my hat if you get a penny out of this deal. you may not like me calling someone an idiot, but on this occasion, i dont think an apology is in order. certainly not to a group of people who immediately refer to someones nationality at the first sign of attempting to insult someone, really, you need to try better than that i'm afraid lads.
i think you'll find Swamp, that neither Bradley's dad nor i, nor most of the posters on this board used any racial abuse to get our points across. And it might have escaped your attention but we're not all lads on this board either! Thanks for visiting though. Good luck for the season.
its fine, i just dont appreciate being called an illiterate kid. maybe i just interpreted this post wrongly: either way good luck for next season, i know it sucks to lose players and managers to a team in the same division, especially for such low fees, we at cardiff have experienced fire sales like no other so i hope you manage to find good replacements , though i hope we're not the ones to be financing them
You certainly did - there is no racial slur there at all, simply a like-for-like response to your use of the word muppet.
If i may add my thougths to the matter. I think it is unlikely any rules will have been broken, as none of the people involved are stupid enough to do that and risk punishment. However none of us can deny that Mackay used insider info to come poaching one of our key players and this, in my opinion, is unethical and should be monitored by the authorities. I know it is illegal on the stock market and maybe it might be an idea to keep an eye on things as it can really damage a small club like ours.
All this talk of nationality and I find out that in a year's time I could become a French national. Think I will opt for European.
What! wouldnt do thet mate , not with the Euro zone in crisis........they havent got a left back either!
It remains to be seen if any breach of contract has occurred - but I seriously doubt that stupidity would be a factor. It's more likely to be related to ambiguous wording or simple misinterpretation. It would be nice to get ahold of a sample contract to see what it actually says.
The one positive out of this is that GT seems livid from the press release. I hope this means he's going to be hands on helping SD out rebuilding the squad and convincing others to stay. I don't think they will allow anyone else who is actually under contract to go, as the outward signals of the momentum of the club will become more important than the money.
