He's scored goals regularly at every level he's played at, the only time he hasn't stepped up was at Norwich when he started brightly but then got injured for the season.

He actually has a decent bit of pace, I don't get where the idea he's slow comes from. His finishing reminds me a bit of Giroud in that he's not clinical enough with the easy chances but then he'll score with some excellent finishes.

As for the examples, 3 of those teams will usually play 2 up top and all 4 are able to afford to play their back up players much more than we can so whilst you might think they're better options Kane is far more suitable for us at his £15-20k a week(might be less actually). Also it's probably not a good time to be bringing those players up since in Kane's 3 league sub appearances he has 1 assist whilst Drogba, Lambert, RVP and Borini have not produced any goals or assists. Perhaps we should revisit it at the end of the season but I very much doubt you'll still be calling him Championship level(a number of Premier League clubs were after him in the summer which should tell you something).

I’ll be happy to admit I’m wrong, but I’m confident I won’t be. Well, I’ll be miserable to admit I’m wrong, actually, but think it won’t come to that.

  3. Do you think that Lambert is now wishing he moved to Spurs?

Poor this term so far but has the semblance of a football brain whereas Townsend is 100 pc gormless

The world's worst player has 3 goals and 1 assist in all comps this year, one every 84 minutes, which is the best figure for anyone on our team who's played more than a fraction of a half. Unlike many other players who produce goals, he works hard, defends energetically, and seems to have a great attitude. He's 21. We should find another player so bad.

Another impressive performance for Kane <ok>

I'd take him over Balotelli, Borini and Lambert on this form.

  12. It was good from Kane, but I'm reserving my judgement until I see him score regular goals in the Prem. I'm sure he'll get his chance soon enough, given the anonymity of Ade and Soldado.

He's been great since you slagged him off, for some reason.

I hold my hands up and say that a few years ago I said he would never be good enough to be the main striker for us.

I like his work ethic and desire....but until it starts happening against the big teams in big games im still going to be wanting that ultimate striker for us.

that is not an unfair aspiration is it? considering I support a club which has been telling me that it is serious about being top 4 regularly?

however he is definitely up for the fight a lot more than some other players and that has reaped rewards against lesser teams..yesterday was his first 'big game' in which he had an impact for me.

It depends what you want out of supporting Spurs. If it's watching us in the Champions League and winning trophies then fair enough. All I know is that right now, when he's on the pitch I enjoy the game a lot more because I'm not moaning about Ade and the atmosphere from all the fans is much better too. I'd love to see us back in the CL but I'd go back to the Jol days where we had a great atmos[here and relationship with the players regardless of performances.

I think that fans of most clubs will always appreciate it when one of their own youth players comes through and does well.
That Kane appears to show the spirit and attitude that a lot of our more senior players seem to lack is an added bonus.
It's nice to hear a big range of songs for someone that's doing enough to deserve them, too.

A nice view of the fans celebrating Kane's deflected winner:
