To me he doesn't have anything, not much pace, doesn't seem very strong and his ability in front of goal is terrible.
You have Adebayor (who is an outrageous person for vice captain IMO) and Soldado who are good players but then the drop in quality for Kane is massive imo.
Out of top teams only Arsenal have a worse striker choice off the bench.
Man U have RVP, Rooney and Falcoa
Chelsea have Costa, Remy and Drogba
Liverpool have Sturridge, Balotelli and Borini/Lambert
Man City have Aguero, Jovetic and Dzeko
He's scored goals regularly at every level he's played at, the only time he hasn't stepped up was at Norwich when he started brightly but then got injured for the season.
He actually has a decent bit of pace, I don't get where the idea he's slow comes from. His finishing reminds me a bit of Giroud in that he's not clinical enough with the easy chances but then he'll score with some excellent finishes.
As for the examples, 3 of those teams will usually play 2 up top and all 4 are able to afford to play their back up players much more than we can so whilst you might think they're better options Kane is far more suitable for us at his £15-20k a week(might be less actually). Also it's probably not a good time to be bringing those players up since in Kane's 3 league sub appearances he has 1 assist whilst Drogba, Lambert, RVP and Borini have not produced any goals or assists. Perhaps we should revisit it at the end of the season but I very much doubt you'll still be calling him Championship level(a number of Premier League clubs were after him in the summer which should tell you something).
