I think our need for a DM or just a physical box to box 'ball winner' is now greater than ever. In fact I would say it's even more important than getting a another CB. For me Arteta does a decent job in terms of distribution but he's not the most athletic or physical and and ultimately we get overrun against the best sides. Flamini is a loose cannon. His positioning is awful and he seems to drift in and out of the game. Lately his form has been particularly bad. Carvalho, Khedira, Bender, Gustavo any of those would do nicely.

Reus is an amazing player but actually where would we fit him? Wenger isn't going to bench Ozil, Sanchez is a definite starter so its probably Walcott that he would compete with. Seems crazy to spend £30+ Million in an area we are so stacked in. Personally I would rather we spent that £30 Million on a World Class DM.
I just have a nagging suspicion that Ozil might not be an Arsenal player for too much longer. He doesn't suit this league at all.

I think we should get cabaye during January transfer window .... He is available, knows premier league and really good on the ball. Even thou a powerhouse in the middle would be nice too!
we need a tank in midfield to boss the opponents. he needs to be over 6ft tall and built like a middleweight, and look like he would break your legs if you spoke out of turn. Patrick Vierra were are you ? do you have any children we can use.

Cabaye has been pretty poor at PSG apparently but I really rated him at Newcastle, I'd rather him than the Celtic player. Schneiderlin probably wouldn't want to leave now and I doubt Southampton would sell anyway. Either way I'm 99% sure we won't be buying a DF in January..
Same here, i can't see Wenger splashing the cash on a DM this Jan, he'll make do with Arteta and Flamini and maybe look in the summer window. A CB is a certainty after the fiascoes we are seeing at the back. No hiding from the debacle for not replacing Vermaelen. What was the management thinking?
