You're all wrong, each team should start with Jones, not Migs.

    Jones
    Flanno - Lovren - Skrtel - Moreno
    Can
    Henderson Lallana
    Coutinho / Suso
    Sturridge Sterling

    -----------------Mignolet--------------
    Manquillo---Skrtel--Lovren---Moreno
    -----------Henderson--Gerrard--------
    ------------------------------------------
    -----Sterling-----Coutinho----Lallana--
    -----------------Sturridge--------------

This system has the advantages of last year's, with fast-counter attacking and would allow for Sterling, Lallana, Coutinho to switch around as wished. You don't have a good DM til January, so Gerrard must do, and Henderson's pace and energy provides effective foil for linking defence and attack.

  3. Gerrard and Hendo partnership...? I take you don't watch Liverpool or England much...? <laugh>

Lets build a team based on this list and see how it looks.

    Mignolet
    Flanagan Skrtel Lovren Moreno
    Gerrard Coutinho
    Henderson -- Lallana
    Sterling
    Sturridge

I think it is an interesting team actually. A bit light in the middle though.

  10. Basically means we go into each game with just one substitution available since Coutinho and Lallana can't complete ninety minutes

I really think Borini should play.

I reckon we have a transfer deal lined up and are to scared to play him in case he gets injured and ruin the deal.

Once all are back I would go with

    GK: Mig
    RB: Flanno
    LB: Moreno
    CB Skrtel
    CB: Lovren
    CM: Hendo
CM: Can/Gerrard (once he has had a decent break)
    CM: Lallana
    RF: Sterling
    LF: Coutinho
    CF: Sturridge

Basically what we had the beginning of last season whilst Suarez was out, but with more on the flanks and a stronger more mobile midfield

The fact that we cant decide on a good 11 or ever a good back 4 is partly an issue that maybe BR has. I'm not defending his transfers or anything but no two players seem to gel together or command their area on the pitch. It's a mish mash of throwing them on and hoping that they put they work.

  15. Moreno, Lovren, can and Lallana didn't play for us last season <whistle>

Plus Flanno wasn't involved that early in the season either :p

    Same up front then...lol

Sterling, Coutinho and STurridge used to work well together, with what weve added we should be better than we were. (what we were when Suarez was injured or on bite leave.)

I'd like to see the following team given a few games when available

    Mignolet
    Manquillo,Lovren,Sakho,Moreno
    Gerrard,Can
    Sterling,Henderson,Coutinho
    Sturridge

Reason is Sturridge is our only decent striker, Gerrard needs a defensive midfielder alongside him and this position would allow Henderson to close down high up the pitch. Rotate Coutinho and Lallana. No Skrtel, Allen or Balotelli as they are useless.

I'm surprised so many of you put Lallana in central midfield. I'll tell you now, it will never happen. I think his skills are best used wide or off the striker.

Good point. When Coutinho starts he does OK. When he comes on as a sub he has made a real impact.

I would like to at least try this again. Balo/Studge partnership looked good against Spurs. Basically Telly's last chance to shine. He can't play up top by himself- but maybe he will be valuable in a partnership.

£70million please. He is the Welsh Suarez.

    Worked in Istanbul! <ok>

    ---------------Can-----------------

Sterling needs a rest anyway. Sterling for Balo when fit, or if we're adapting our tactics to him:

    --------------Mignolet--------------
    -Manquillo--Lovren--Sakho--Moreno-
    ---------------Can-----------------
    -----Henderson-----Gerrard---------

    -Sterling-----------------Markovic--
    -------------Sturridge--------------

Part in bold can be switched (2 DM's, ugh) to allow defensive/offensive play depending on the opponent.
