Les Reed actually said we had no offers for JRod...puzzling then that he included Jay with Morgan in his 'they shall not pass' speech. However, he could just have been responding to media rumours. I also don't remember hearing anything from Jay himself. Has anyone any clear proof that Jay is champing at the bit to leave? Not saying you are wrong, but would like to know where this talk comes from.

A return of JRod at last season's level would be fantastic...would scare the bejesus out of other sides...but if not, we are doing pretty well without him.

Well, this is the thing, isn't it. It's all very well to have oodles of invented media speculation. That's speculation, not fact, and should make not a jot of difference to reality. It's all very well to have people talk about what their ITK mate has heard, but it all crumbles slightly when an article appears that is obviously reporting from the official source. I know that people will speculate at the time when no news is forthcoming, but when we get a retrospective article setting it out as it was then all the confusing pieces can be put into the jigsaw.

As for putting Jay into the 'they shall not pass' category, I think it's only sensible that Reed point out that rival clubs shouldn't be getting bids sorted out because the general response will be don't bother, the answer is NO..!
Of course, like last season, there will be a rider to that, and it will be, unless you want to pay twice his worth to us.

Morgan as he has already shown his intentions however much it is portrayed that he has had a change of heart.

i find it more worrying (less so now that we have other options) that rodriguez has shown no intentions at all other than what has been reported from behind the scenes. apart from wearing the kit for a promo shoot, shaking koeman's hand sitting on an exercise bike, and videos showing his recovery from a distance, he's been fairly absent.

and of course the contract remains ominously blank on the signature line.

Listening to last night's 606 - apparently Lambert is worse than Carroll. Remind me, how can Lambert impress from the bench? Oh wait, he can't. <doh>

Shearer made a very pithy comment last season when he said that Carroll must be the most improved player around even though he hadn't even played yet. It was in reference to the fact that everyone was anticipating his arrival back from injury.

Can't have Andre every week!

Why can't Shaw run? Why does he keep going into cm as well? He seems to have been taught too well by Fox.

WBA can't hold the ball up front. Lescott muscled off the ball far too easy 1-1.
