5 games with no win and in that time we have played Newcastle, Sunderland and Stoke. All 3 teams that have struggled so far this season. We have got a horrendous November so I cant even see things improving from here till at least Christmas.

I dont think we will sack Monk as it will make the board look like right tits after the Laudrup debacle. But I really hope things improve soon.

another game of 2 halves - so bright in the 1st and so very poor in the 2nd - really really peed off by that!

I agree our second half was crap again, and Monk has to sort this out, Either he is overplaying the fitness in training or not enough training, but we are definitely dropping off our top level second half of games, and it's costing us results, no win in 5?....................<ok>

Monk is on TV now whining about the ref's decisions over the course of the season. He has said things he probably shouldn't. There is going to be blow back from this. From the refs in games to come and the FA in possible sanctions.

He has called them "cheats".

How doesn't Siggy score with his confidence? How didn't Ki slide his into the open corner? Should have been 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes...

The ref changed the game. We were bossing it, they were fouling us non-stop but we were dealing with it. Their crowd was pissed off, yes, but then their team was fouling us. Any neutral could see that. Then, out of nowhere, the ref decides to give them a penalty for literally nothing and it completely changes the game. We go in at half time wondering what went wrong. The answer is nothing, but yet the score was 1-1. Scandalous. The Stoke players feel revitalised and the crowd have an extra lift.

We should have been better second half, and if Ki tucks away his chance we win the match.

Monk's subsitutions? Yikes. He went 4411 against Stoke? They were bullying us in the middle second half up until that point anyway, why take off a midfielder? Our midfielders had to drop deep as they were now outnumbered and the gap between our midfielders and the strikers was massive. No decent service.

Bony's sliced shot at the end kind of typified us. Monk has to change something for the next game - Plan A worked for 3 games, but it's pretty clear that this isn't working now.

Strong words on Sky from Monk!

Poor leadership from Mike Riley and astonishing that Mike Riley hasn't responded to the club's concerns.

Claimed that Moses cheated for their penalty - he should be punished. A disgraceful decision - a clear dive. Moses cheated the ref and as a result the ref has cheated us in terms of giving a decision that never was.

At the start of the season I thought we'd know where we are by the end of October. I think we do, and it isn't looking good.
Allowing Chico to leave and spending huge on Fernandez hasn't been the smartest move.
Not replacing Ben and not bringing in a central defensive midfield player has been a disaster.
Persisting with Taylor - another bad move.
But maybe persisting with Monk will prove to be the biggest mistake.

You might be right, but I doubt you are...............<cheers>

Looking at the goal again - I agree, Rangel miles out of position allowing the cross to come in, and Taylor losing his man - 50-50 to blame imo.

I hate playing Stoke. They play more on the deck now under Hughes but off the ball fouls nullify our pass and move game, and always has. Any time a player without the ball makes a run he's elbowed, tripped or nudged. What a bunch of thuggish cloggers.

Apart from Sunderland and QPR I dislike them the most in this League.

What's more worrying for me is:

1: Yet again we looked like a different team second half.

2: Stoke are poor - and we lost, even though one goal was down to a cheat.

Spot on - we were robbed with that goal but in the end we lost to a ppor team because we were rubbish 2nd half! Monk needs to focus on that and not the occasional bad decision going against us, its getting embarassing!

Swanselona, report to the armoury and suit up in full combat gear, I think we'll need it this week <wah>

WWWLLDDL

4 points off a relegation spot.

Yet he's spot on with everything he said. He's spoken to them privately and had no responses, so it's forced his hand. Why should we just accept getting screwed by the referees?

Agree! But why sit deep again after 1 goal and inviting the pressure? who's responsible for this? and while Moses clearly cheated his way into getting a goal for stoke, I think they would have scored anyway as our tactics were poor after going ahead.

Monk is having a full blown rant at the ref and Moses <laugh>

He is pissed off and rightly so.

Personally think he should be getting on with it. Yes, it was a really bad call, but... He shoulders responsibility for me today, because at 1-1, Swansea are the better side and should be going on to win the game. What chance his anger seeped through to the players and got them wound up instead of focusing on being the better footballing side? There should have been a professional, "we've suffered a setback, let's get on with it and beat them" approach, rather than labouring over the point... It's really not an excuse for losing the game.

Hughes got them in at half-time, changed some things, and that made the difference. Just a bit unlucky today gents <ok>

After Crouch had done his usual waving his arms about and falling over in the box I said to the wife Stoke will get a penalty (I thought from Crouch hitting the floor like a sack of spuds) because he's set the ref's mind to give one. Stake - another cynical slime ball of a team. It comes to something when Charlie Adams is the only honest player on a team.

Well he is right on that, lets see if they can man up to it and improve refereeing
