QPR were robbed there. Dowd missed a clear foul on a QPR player which allowed Liverpool go up the other end and then he falls for a clear dive from Sterling. As usual the commentators bottle calling it what it is. Skrtely should've been sent off too, he shoved Zamora and Dowd didn't even book him. I remember pundits talking about how Rose could've been sent off off for pushing Shawcross last season yet now they don't even think it's a booking. Shameful stuff. Unlucky QPR, deserved to win today and got nothing.
What a finish though! But any Scousers thinking they are back on track after that Keystones Cops ending is deluded. Well, more deluded.
No, we've jumped from the one leads into the abyss to the one going nowhere. I think we've a reasonable shout at winning the 12 team fight for 4th.
True, one point that I think was missed is that if they're not sending their defenders forward then they should've played it short and run the clock down. With a minute to go either you're happy to take the draw or you're trying to score, doing both half-hearted was daft.
Only Stoke fans could boo the ref off after he gave them a joke penalty Fair enough, I was only jesting.
I didn't watch the game, so I don't know if this is as bad as it looks, but how was this not a penalty and a red card? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Anyone see it?
"I didn't watch the game, so I don't know if this is as bad as it looks, but how was this not a penalty and a red card?" Because Sandro is : 1. The Beast 2. Not a Poool player (and hence unfamilar with the protocols employed if that occurred up the other end of the pitch)
At least three times after that, Sandro lowered his shorts to reveal the stud marks from Johnson's challenge. Watch out for Harry's post match media interview. No mention of this incident as he's into one almighty rant on Adel Taarabt.
The pressure is really on QPR now. If they get relegated, even with the PL "parachute" money received they are probably going to fail the FFP rules for the league below.
Haha, yeah I noticed him doing that too, looked a sore one. Sky Sports were happy enough to gloss over it, surprise, surprise, if I wanted Liverpool TV I'd bloody well order the channel, their coverage is just a joke. I didn't know when it happened because they only showed about one replay of it and it was zoomed out. I thought it was Zamora that went sliding in, in that challenge. Looks awful there though, surely the referee didn't see it so the FA can take action, I won't hold my breath though. I saw that bit on Taraabt too, SC. It was good to see Redknapp back on fighting form, I have a lot of respect for him but even I was starting to doubt whether he really had the fight in him so happy to be proven wrong.
On a Spurs note, did anyone else watch the Swansea game today? Carroll was playing but he was Swansea's worst player by a distance, in my opinion. Hopefully he'll continue to get chances but he looks far too meek, the runs he made were never particularly useful and on the ball he was slow and played it safe. Mason looks a much better player at the moment.
I am not sure about Little Tommy at the moment. His progress seems to have stalled recently. Every time I watch him play, in my head I find myself pleading with him to do something which will confirm all the faith I have in him. Today I thought he looked off the pace and dare I say it, a bit out of his depth.
Hopefully it's just a confidence thing. He's playing well for the England Under 21s and must've been doing something right on the training ground for Monk to put him in the midfield when they're doing so well but as you say, he just hasn't taken to playing at the higher level so far.
