That's a sentence that applies to virtually everyone, though.

Do you have an EU approved Charlotte quota per annum ??
It seems you haven't been posting as many in recent times.

On the weekend's early theme of crap refereeing, here's a real gem from France:

PSG's Edinson Cavani scores a penalty to put his side 3-1 up at Lens, which was the final scoreline.
He celebrates in what's become his signature style, making a rifle gesture towards the crowd, something which has gone totally without remark by the officials in previous games.
This ref sees it differently, though. He produces a yellow card and when the Uruguayan striker touches his arm to ask him why, he wields it again, swiftly followed by a red! <laugh>
Cue bewilderment all round.

Chelsea 1-0 up via Oscar after 6 minutes.
Geordies delayed by an hour as they can't get their telly to work. <doh>

12. Clearly, we did Saints a massive favour by taking Poch off their hands.

Or it says how well we played last time out when we deservedly beat them...we are inconsistent...which is not surprising considering we have had 3 managers in the past 10 months and this guy has only had 8 matches.

How did Sunderland manage to put in a performance of such ineptitude that they scored 25% of their opponents' goals in an 8-0 drubbing?

As I sit here contemplating my navel,I wonder why our new managers manage to turn our team into absolute crap, when with someone else they may do wonders. It's as though the ghost of Bill is looking down shaking his head in disapproval.Looking at the PL table we see us in a crappy position getting further and further away from the leaders and wondering why so much money was spent for very little gain.
The amazing thing is Arsenal are level with us on points and West Ham are aiming for a CL position.Go figure!
Southampton get rid of their stars and still "up there" AND recording an 8-0 victory!
Perhaps it's time for us to ignore the stars and look around for some hungry players in the lower leagues to put some life back into our teams......must be some, somewhere?

It's been a start to the season that has really shaken things up. Looking at the table from last season after 8 games, the top 4 were those that finished top 4 and the 4 beneath them were the same too. Perhaps we are looking at a sign of things to come this season...

17. Where ever we may finish in the table - and it certainly isn't going to be top 5 - the interesting story, I think, will be Arsenal finishing outside the Top 4, because I think that will mean the end of Whinger.

I've never heard so many fans expressing a very firm opinion that he must go (and I don't mean the fans on this site, I mean sensible fans who live in the real world). The boast has always been, "Yeah, we may have won nothing for "x" seasons, but Wenger has always got us CL footy." So much so, that almost all the Gooners on this site scoff at "Thursday night football" or "the Europey League" etc. Well, all of those arrogant Gooners are going to have to take a massive kick to their pride this season, I reckon.

As for us, I'm afraid that either Levy or those advising him have made far too many duff purchases that have cost our club dear. We had an excellent opportunity with the Bale money to invest in some real quality, and we simply spunked it away. Was it all AVB's fault? If so, why the hell did we have a director of football? And who appointed those two clowns, anyway? That's right - Levy.

I'm not saying we should start a campaign to have Levy removed, but what I am saying is that those of you who want Levy to stay should accept the fact that we will forever struggle to make top 4.

I don't see any way Chelsea and City don't finish top two respectively and Burnley don't finish 20th. From there on all the other places are up for grabs.

I've said for some time now that Levy has a lot to answer for. His appointments have been little short of disastrous. I can't imagine that Uncle Joe is too pleased.

QPR have been very good so far and should have scored 3 or more in that half. Hope they don't rue it but I'm delighted for Redknapp, regardless of the result this kind of performance will relieve the pressure on him.

Oh and Zamora has been outstanding.
