If he'd only thrown the first one they would probably both get 10 minutes because Hohaia starts it with the elbow to the head. That second one though is really bad, and the ref had no option at all. I reckon they'll give him probably 12-15 games ban, which is about half the season, but whatever it is won't compare to how bad he's feeling about costing his team another grand final win (and me the thick end of £100!)
He would have walked for the first as well, doesn't matter who started it, if you floor an opposition player with a punch to the head then your off. Your right, Lance was lucky not to get 10 minutes though.
Loved Wellens reaction. Points it out to the ref stood next to him, then sprints over to take on the big fella that's just decked his team mate.
Yeah, check out photos of him and see the difference in the last few years. I know they hit the weights big time but this guy has the classic look of someone who has bulked up with steroids.
If this happened in football match, people would be calling for at least a one year ban and it would probably have led to criminal charges.
He really doesn't, particularly as there isn't a 'classic look' it all depends on your training and genetics after taking them. Don't be ignorant and assume because someones bigger they must be taking steroids. He has got bigger but probably more due to the fact he moved from a tin pot club to one of the best, his training, nutrition, recovery...etc will be far better now than it ever was at Crusaders. I'm not denying that some RL players take steroids, I know for a fact some do, but Ben Flower didn't need to so in all probabilities hasn't.
Rugby players remind me of the steroid losers you get in Gardeners Arms these days. They have six pints then start knocking tables over, swinging their arms at each other. Thick chavs, is what I'm saying.
There's not a chance it would have led to criminal charges in football. As for a years ban, most people on twitter are calling for exactly that, which is ridiculous.
I'm a rugby league player, I have two degrees and am half way through a PhD, kind of ruins your stereotype a little.
Both Although strictly speaking a PhD isn't a course and PhD protein is crap and overpriced so no one uses it, but you get the idea.
