A lot of charities are very misguided imo.
Down our local bar they have the racing channel on during the day.
When the ad breaks come on that's all it is, charities.
'Poor little Jimmy, he'll get nowt to eat when he comes in from school because nee **** gives a **** about him.
His dad's a violent alcoholic & his mother's a smack head whore'
'Poor little Amy, her uncle's been ****ing her since she was six but she's too scared to say owt as he's threatened to smash her knees with a hammer if she does'
'Poor little Samawalla isn't very well atm, she has to drink from a river that the whole village pisses & ****s in.'
'But for just £4 a month we can blah, blah, blah.'
I often wonder how much of that £4 actually go's to the folk they're trying to help?
I'd guess about 70p.
They do these ads to try & pull on peoples heartstrings.
I very much doubt it will be cheap to advertise on a Sky TV channel.
And what about these bags that they shove through your letterbox?
You know, asking for clothes you no longer want?
I must get 2 or 3 a week & nee ****er ever comes to collect them.
