If he bought it for the community, he should abide by the wishes of the community when it comes to the name of the club.
And the 'if you haven't got £30m you don't deserve an opinion' line is the weakest of all arguments, it's our club, it was before he arrived and it will be after he's gone.
And round we go again, reasons to be changing part 1. he bought it he can do what he wants.
No he can't. when buying a football club he has entered an agreement with the ruling body the FA to abide by their rules.
Put more simply, If you were to buy an old house, lets say like Burton Constable Hall you can't paint it purple and fit white UPVC windows no matter how much you paid for it. Oh and how much you might think that improves it.

Poor bloke! keeps the city of hull to have a football team and what thanks does he get! yes Lambrettaman, it is not a matter of that you don't have £30mill, you don't have an opinion, all football fans have an opinion but its the fact he's put 30 "god damn" million of his own "hard earned" cash into the club, that's means alot of his life earnings have gone into the club and we cant just accept a "word change" for it...if he was some guy who owned a business overseas and came over to hull, to take money out of the club, I could understand, but the guy is from hull, his business is in hull and he employees people from hull. I think you are vastly wide of the mark with your opinions about assem allam!....over one word, you are morons! seriously!! grow up!
So, if over time he takes back that £30mill and a tad more in wages and interest, could he no longer have an opinion?
The cash he's put in is a loan, he isn't from Hull and he doesn't live in Hull, nor is his business in Hull, but as people seem to keen on the East Riding, we'll maybe let you adopt him or something. Being rich isn't an excuse for doing something stupid, if there was any point to what he was doing, he might get more people on side, but any idiot can see it's utter bollocks.

I'm sorry lambrettaman but this proves that his business is in hull unless you are been pedantic, that its not in the centre of hull ......I know people who work for him and have done in the past! ....I do understand that assem gets things wrong, but his son, seems to be ahead of the curve when it comes to business!.....possibly loans yeah, but If I have a guy who comes to me saying he has good idea to generate more money (not forgetting that finances have changed massively in football) and has previously got a business with a multi million pound turn around , I would happily listen to his ideas above anybody who is part of CTWD, no disrespect!

the money actually belongs to a company called Allam house - if he takes it out of Allam house and pays it to himself he has a huge income tax liability - so its not his money at all
He's an undignified liar who's void of acceptable principles or values & cannot be trusted. Wealth has no bearing on these traits.

All he has to do to change the name is withdraw from the FA and the Premier League and he can do what he wants. Until that time he has to abide by their rules. The FA said no to Hull Tigers like they said no to Whitehawk and Darlington. I don't know how much weight they gave the presentations of the OSC nor CTWD, neither do you.
The Premier League rules said he has to consult the fans and he didn't. He made the application before the rigged vote.
The campaign isn't about one word, its about our community, our history and our future.
Finally, why not ask the programme sellers tomorrow whether they think he's a good employer. For some of them this may will be their last month working for him after years of service to Hull City.
