Spoken with all the experience of youth. If you base the statement on what I write then you have misinterpreted, but I am from the generation that went to Roker and SJP week about with our elders because seeing the game was the thing, but with more bias towards your chosen team.

My first game was in 1948 when the opposition was ManU and the general opinion among the grown ups was that they were streets aheads of us. I listened and learned and it came in handy over the years.

One of the strangest things i've ever read in all the time of this forum.

I personally place Nostalgic in a small group like ex posters like Cuteybuns..Their senior years, lead to some really entertaining reading, from years gone by.

They mention players names, that i have to google, and read up on them.

First game 1948, ****ing hell, that's only 3 years after the war finished, so they really have seen the ups and downs of SAFC.

I honestly appreciate your comments and thank you, however I'm not sure just what leniency I've been shown tbh.

I don't attack people without provocation, rarely use foul language except in retaliation & don't go onto threads specifically to target people with off topic ****e.
All of those things happen to me which doesn't bother me a jot tbh as anyone who knows me would confirm.
However, if people choose to tear up 'the rule book' then the rules no longer apply as far as I'm concerned.

When I get people like Comm coming onto a thread and ignoring the topic just to call me a liar then I'll defend mesel ....... over & over & over <laugh>
When the mods see the 'argument' they'll inevitably tell me to take it to pm's or send an e-mail 'warning'.
I don't want to pm people off here, some of them seem like internet weirdos with **** all to do tbh.

Comm, Shameless & others follow me around with their pathetic grudges, although they'll always strenuously deny it of course, claiming I'm a bullshitter who doesn't do what he claims to on here.
When respected people like R&W, Paradiddles & V-Joe come on and contradict them they ignore it because it doesn't suit their dreary agenda.

I post my honest views/memories/experiences and if people don't like it that's their problem.
They accuse me of disrupting threads yet think it's fine to start the same pointless arguments they do time after dreary time.

I was at the match yesterday and will be there again next week.

It's no coincidence that the majority of people who want to have a pop at me rarely, if ever, go to watch Sunderland.

Jealousy, I reckon, is the root of their problems <ok>

Depends what you want to do mate.
I know the Loch Lomond area very well, well the South end I do.
It is a 33 mile long lake. Not far from from Dumbarton.

Dinnet bother with Dumbarton, it's a one horse town.
Some of the wee places near to the south of the loch can be a bit rough.
Balloch, Alexandria, Bonhill are best avoided.

Vale of Leven is canny like.
Glasgow itself, loads to see & do.
Museums, art Galleries, theatres & a plethora of pubs, bars & restaurants.
Anywhere in the city centre is fine.
Around the central station, Queen St or Suchihall St.

If you want a bit crack with the Celtic fans go up the Gallowgate & have a pint in The Sarrie Heed, Bairds bar or Hoops Bar.
Not far from Barrowland that.
If you want some chat with the Rangers lads go to Paisly Road West.
Viceroy, The Angel, The Grapes, you're not far from Ibrox Park here.
Both sets of lads will talk football all day, they love owt like that.

You could also do the stadium tours.
Ibrox, Parkhead & Hampden.
Hampden Park in an amazing place & has a cracking museum, well worth a visit.

Get yourself up there mate, great city.

We've just arrived at our hotel in Balloch!!!!

It's canny TBH and off the beaten track so it's quiet. Just had dinner at the Loch Lomond Arms in Luss, lovely place.
We had a speedboat ride round the back of Inchlonaig Island which was great, never realised the loch was 33 miles long like, amazing.

We're taking your advice and doing the 'dodgy bits' tomorrow, Suchihall St, Gallowgate etc.
I never went to the Barrowland but most of the groups on tour would play there first, before they came to our club, so always had stories about it.

I told our lass I'm taking her up the Hoops and she seems fine about it!

A mate from Peterlee mentioned a scrap he had in The Grapes back in the 70's so we'll pop in there and text him a photo <ok>

Cheers for the info mate, really looking forward to it now.

Aye Luss is ok.
Balloch can be a bit of a ****hole.
There is a cracking pub there though called The Dog House, just over the bridge looking north on the L/H/S.
Avoid the nightclub in Balloch, Nightingales.
Even the locals call it Nightmares.
Full of young lads with chips on their shoulders.
Balloch House is alright if you fancy a meal as is The Tullie Inn.

Not sure how long you're up there for or whether you have your car with you but Argyll Forest isn't far away & is well worth a visit.
Seriously though, the stadium tours are great.
I've done them all, even Partick Thistle as I've spent so much time up there.
I took my boy to Ibrox one time & we were sat in the directors box.
Our Niall was sat in Walter Smith's seat & I was sat in Sean Connery's.
I kept looking for the ejector button that would fire me across the River Clyde, lol.

The riverside is well worth a stroll, check out the Finnestoun Crane & Glasgow's shipbuilding past.
While you're up there, fetch me a nuclear sub back from Faslane Naval Base.

The owner of this hotel is a ****ing nutcase mate!

He has the periscope, from the nuclear sub he served on, in the entrance.

I'll take a photo and stick it on here tomorrow ...... porridge & smoked kippers for breakfast though<ok>
