What next? A poll on who shaves their pubic hair?

O/t there was a bloke in the middle of St stephens today having his eyebrows done, and he wasn't even doing it for charity. There's nothing as strange as folk.

Tattoos can be very nice but 90% of people just have a daft motto or some ugly tribal ****.

If you walk in a tattoo parlour not knowing what you want and look at a catalogue in the shop to pick one, then that's pretty much the definition of inbred.

Most of mine look a mess ...most done in early 70's when there was only king Arthur's in Hull

But there's some fantastic stuff nowadays , very artistic

Bumming your Dad is probably a tad more inbred that picking a tattoo from a catalogue but I know where you're coming from.

I have a tattoo on my right arm. I'll be getting another one soon. I agree that tribals are unoriginal and quite ****.

I honestly haven't in my life seen one good tattoo. I am perplexed as to why people get them, they look ****ing ****. As for having your entire arm covered in a 'sleeve' tattoo - I must be missing something, but they look ****ing ridiculous, not to mention the tattoos behind the ears or on the neck. I wouldn't employ any ****er with tattoos, hate them.

I think I known where you're coming from but surely my Frank Butcher glasses tattoo gets your approval?

Even your Frank Butcher tattooed glasses would be considered '****'. Sorry! Most people I know that had tattoos regret having had them. At what point they ever thought they looked good is beyond me.

Besides, there's more important issues to discuss like trainers :)

I,ve got a few that I got done in the 70,s much like TF, from my trawler days, mainly on settling day after i,d had a gauge. Not much finesse in them days compared to today and mine look mainly ****e now as well.

All my tatts have Japanese inspiration , from Geisha girls - 2 of them , an embracing couple , bamboo and pagoda .

decided early on i didnt want my arms to be a non descript "full sleeve" tattoo ( they do look real good quite often , but dont seem individual to me )

So my tattoos mould around my arms with iconic japanese leaves , flowers etc .

I've got an exact copy of Slim Jim Phantom's tattoo(Stray Cats drummer) on my right forearm, done freehand by a mate in his kitchen in Anlaby 35 years ago...

King Arthur did most of mine on Midland st years ago before fine needles and many colours ... In those days he use to refuse to tattoo women

Lots of stars on hands was quite common among the lads I hung around with.

I remember him to was pretty well known back then, people used to travel to Hull just to get a tattoo done there,i believe he also won the championship's as well.

What gets me are the women who have them done thinking they are works of art (like Cheryl Cole), in all honesty they look tacky & if they think about it, just how will they look when the skin starts losing it's firmness & they get wrinkles !! I have never yet met anyone who's looks have been improved by having ink done, but I have met a lot where the opposite is the case

King Arthur ended up in Scarborough though he's no longer living.

Rip Arthur.

His son has a shop in Scarborough still .
