  • No

Is anyone else bored of this "imperialist" rhetoric by the Yes campaign? You joined the Union because of near-bankruptcy and the Darien Disaster. It's hardly "English imperialism" if you impose your king onto us and colonise Ulster, is it?

Not really,I'm getting a view that people want to govern themselves and probably a first without any blood being shed, and that's a good thing,no?

I've created a new drinking game. Take a drink if you hear the following words/phrases:

Westminster
Elites
Imperialist
Imperialism
Empire
Currency-union
NHS privitisation
"It's oor pound"
Project Fear
Scaremongering
A fair and better Scotland
North Sea Oil
Better Together
An equal Scotland
"We never voted for the Tories!"
Devo-max
"Power in the hands of Scottish people"

You'll be as pissed as a newt in five minutes if you watch one of the debates. <laugh>

dearie me you are one thick paddy c**t.

this has nothing to do with you now f** off.

Shetland is norsk.

and the western isles don't want anything to do with Scotland either.

now run along sonny.

We may not have a vote but it has a lot to do with us and a far reaching effect in Europe, get rid of your hang up with the Central Belt and look at the bigger picture

<laugh> it was you who replied to me asking me a question. Now you're floundering so telling me to **** off, that it has nothing to do with me.

But on that, as a resident of the UK I am a stakeholder in this, not as directly as those who reside in Scotland but a stakeholder nonetheless.

Do you think Scotland will be exempt from the US' neoconservative wars? If Scotland joins the EU and NATO, they won't have a choice. They'll have to agree to TTIP as well. Scotland will be free of Westminster, but they'll have new masters in Brussels and Washington. Nothing will change. I find it really bizarre that an independent Scotland would want to join the European Union, it makes zero sense. It's like leaving your parents' house and going to live with weird strangers with strict, draconian household rules, and the rent's higher as well.

Who says they have to join NATO? Im not even sure why defence arrangements have actually come up time and again in the campaign. Unless there's a rampaging hoard of vikings im not aware of

so in the interests of democracy you will be happy with a no vote?

after all the yes campaigners have been full of vitriol, violence, aggression and vandalism and intimidation.

Okay. Why would a newly-independent country join a federal superstate that's even more centralised than the UK? It's the polar opposite of independence.

Not sure about that,ROI have send in troops in plenty of conflicts, preparing for Syria at the moment and not in NATO.The ROI troops are peace keeping so why wold it be any different for Scotland?
