It's cracking me up that all the ****tards who spent six months desperately & weakly attempting to convince themselves along with anybody else who'd listen that AA was simply toying with the CTWD group & that he, in reality, couldn't give two hoots about the group as they had no real chance of influencing the FA's decision, are now, along with AA himself, blaming CTWD for the actual decision.

EDIT: put this on the wrong thread, please delete if deemed appropriate.

There's absolutely no chance CTWD had any influence on his decision, he has millions invested in this business and would not allow a small group of fans with no stake in the club to sway his opinion.

He is simply creating two figure heads of blame in CTWD and the FA to deflect any criticism from himself.

No need to boo or whistle.

It's a single issue that CTWD** have and most of their membership would tell you 2 things

1) They wish there was no need for CTWD to even exist
2) They are not anti Allam and wanting him out.

They really need to take little or no action after yesterday as, essentially, nothing has changed.

Back the team and the manager on the pitch because it's a winnable game on Monday and we need the points - no distractions required.

Keep it civil.

The council are to blame why would they reject development around the stadium absolutely embarrassing.

Assem Allam said the Council offered him a joint venture to develop the stadium and land and he refused. Are you saying he's not telling the truth?

If there were any protests planned they need to be seen by Allam, the cameras etc.

If you don't like that then i'm sorry for you.

The cameras don't tend to show the north west corner.

I am not a member of CTWD ,please do not blame them for actions or views that supporters such as I have ,I believe that its the minority of opposition that are members ,and that there is a majority out of the group that are also against it,
However the only real way to know the fans feeling would have been a proper ballot, with the correct questions and worded in a fair way .

CTWD seem to be taking the brunt of criticism and being blamed for the reason AA is taking his stance, and it just amazes me that people cannot see that it is the FA that made the decision after consultation with many parties not just CTWD. There is a guy that calls in to RH regularly, usually as I am driving hope from the match, giving his opinion on the game, but seems to never go matches only listens on RH.

He called in last night to RH saying the CTWD people should be shot, as they were saying anti AA comments on social media. He is obviously one of these people who cannot see what is the actual truth of the matter.

I couldn't agree more with this.

You see it all over this board. A few individuals make anti-Allam comments, and the anti-CTWD posters make out that those comments come from CTWD directly.

I have never seen any announcement or statement from CTWD that has been anything other than polite to Mr Allam. At times I think their "Oppose the name change, back the Allams" policy has gone a little too far, and they have shied away from criticising the man when he deserved it. To say CTWD shouldn't rise to the bait is ridiculous - they've never risen to the bait.

Excellent post.

CTWD have a issued a statement on yesterdays press conference, there's nothing else planned.

Other than the City Till I Die at 19.04, CTWD have never protested in the ground and have no intention of starting now.

We are hoping it might be nice and loud on Monday though. <laugh>

Imagine if it gets booed or whistled out?

Why would it? No one at games has shown any support for a name change and that won't start now. It's limited to a few Internet and phone-in numpties.

Spot on.

There are a fair few pro name changers (or non plussed fans) who sit near me and sing at 19.04. Does everybody actually understand what the song represents, or do people just join in because it's a City song?

Suppose it doesn't matter as the exposure is good all the same, but the underlying message of the chant surely needs to be understood by those singing it?

I am not in CTWD ..but I song the song loud and proud because it's a city song and always has been

I DO NOT BLAME them for anything because in my opinion the fa said no and would have said no even if they had not existed

The silent majority don't exist .

No one would rather we where called Hull Tigers then HULL CITY when given a straight foward question .

Assem Allam is kicking ALL supporters in the teeth INCLUDING those who want him to stay by saying I will leave if I don't get my own way

Where is his loyalty in that ?

He should have accepted the NO decision and stayed and found another way to raise money after all the name change would have only been worth 1 bloody million a year .

Many of us sing CTID as it is a song we have used home and away for many years. Sadly - as we retain this tradition it seems we have jettisoned another, even longer standing chant /song, - that of "The Tigers!"
