Protecting your boyfriend are you? TygerTyger is a quote from a poem by William Blake, but you are too stupid to have read it. It is a common spelling of Tiger from that era, it is after all a translation from the Iranian.
The only argument the pro-name change people have is "because Allam sez so and it's 'is moneh and club so he can do wot he wants wiv it". Great argument there, it almost echoes Salmond's battle cry of "it's oor pound". No substance and no facts, but just pure crap.
Not taking the piss actually, just pointing out that when convenient to you, you changed your name. Doesn't make you a different person. Can't help noticing that you must be in your early 20s. Which makes it a bit rich that you choose to lecture people who have been following the club since before you were born. Now I'm quite happy to believe you are genuine in your beliefs, but don't assume you are always right. And certainly you would be well advised to stop calling people ****s just because you disagree with them.
Here are a few facts about our club that can't be rebuked: We got to our first ever FA Cup Final as HULL CITY. We played in a European competition for the first time as HULL CITY. We broke our transfer record several times in one season as HULL CITY. We have 14 full internationals on our books (excluding loan players) as HULL CITY. We had our highest ever finish in the Premier League as HULL CITY. This has been done because of Allam and his money, and the majority of fans are grateful for this. But that doesn't give him the right to change the club's name and heritage because of some fantasy that we might have influence in the Far East, and enough influence to generate enough money to sustain the club on its own. So come on pro-name changers, give us your reasons for wanting us to change to "Hull Tigers". We're all dying to hear of your reasons for this change, as it's got to have some benefit...
And are you a middle aged trolley wally at asda who don't like been told what to do by your 19 year boss!
Ah so you are a necrophiliac as well as homosexual. Can't say I'm surprised. Still, best keep your fantasies to yourself if you want to survive big school.
They can't. They're only opposed to us because they're arse-licking fannies for whom the Premier League is the be-all and end-all and they have no grasp of history or community. Utter twatbaskets.
It isn't a simple difference of opinion. You and your mates want it to be but it isn't. We've had a year of this crap and not one argument has been put forward for Hull Tigers. It's not a valid opinion, it's just a means to wind people up, be different, or oppose the proper fans. Nothing more. It deserves no respect, the people taking this stance deserve nothing more than derision. If people are taking it into the ground and booing the proper fans then they're ****s yes. I happily accept there are some better fans than me. People like dj on here who do every game home or away. You wouldn't catch people like him wanting Hull Tigers. I've got the utmost respect for people like him, but sadly many don't. This whole fan split is simply borne of a few people being intimidated by others being better fans than them.
You will not get anyone listing any reason apart from the usual "his club" etc. It has been a disaster from the start. I think Allam has done a great job on the whole and we should all be standing together with the owner and enjoying the position we are in. He just got it all wrong. If he had come out with a very sound business plan and some valid reasons why the name change would bring in much more investment we might still not like the idea but it would have not have created such animosity towards him. Any sensible person just has to hear him rambling on and on and bullying us with "no one tells me how to run my business" etc to realise that it is all just spite, he is a man who has been used to getting his own way as simple as that.
Bet the ctwd statement has summat along the lines of, never felt so alienated/disconected from the club-I've never felt bad a bout being a City fan but I am now - simper simper
Allowing a minor name change will mean Allam continues to support the club. I would rather it survived with a name change than folded without. If sensible efforts had been made to persuade him to drop the idea at the outset we might have had both the old name and the support. Unfortunately too many people called him a silly senile old ****. No wonder he was alienated. So far the benefit of keeping Allam has been £100m, complete support for the best manager we've ever had, the best team we've ever had and a growing presence which is allowing us to sign even better players. Worthwhile in my view, I can understand why some would disagree, but the levels of abuse fired at people who are prepared to embrace change has polarised the position and is, in my view, what caused the booing on Monday night when the CTID chant came.
Are there many pro name changers on here? Always thought it was just Happy Party and a couple of others? If you booed are you pro name change by default? If you booed are you pro Allam? If you booed because your not keen on CTWD are you pro name change or just anti CTWD? If you didn't sing CTID and didn't boo what are you and what do you want? If you woke up this morning and didn't want to see those who booed being raped by a donkey are you a plastic flasking prawn sandwich eater? Oh and..... What if you went to Torquay when we were **** and booed.....
