Yes the SNP have enabled the whole thing but the tactics of the Establishment which you are so happy to support are to make it about the SNP and Salmond and then demonise him. That is they always do and it's worked pretty well for them for a 1000 years because they have always managed to find enough peasants to espouse their cause for them. These confused little people who have bought the crap all their lives are always the ones who allow the Establishment to continue.

Lots of the SNP members have different stances on NATO, currency and loads of other issues, Pud. I think if its a Yes the ones with differing views will slowly split off.

There will be a party with a lot of current SNP members as the backbone, but they will have reduced in size I think. You'll probably see Labour, Conservatives and the SNP reformed after independence.

It wouldn't be an implosion though. The SNP would have got their one main goal. Those who are SNP but generally disagree with the SNP will splinter off but I can't see it being described as an implosion because I think all the parties will experience the same problem. Politicians will be jumping ship like **** in the event of independence and with elections in 2016 it will give many of them the chance to reinvent themselves.

After all that I think the parties that hold best together will probably be Labour and the Lib Dems to be honest, with the SNP and the conservatives being the main losers (Although, again, I don't think it will be seen that way.)

 

Labour have definitely burned at lot if bridges in Scotland...theyve handled it very badly.

Both sides have conducted dirty fights which had also annoyed me.

I do agree that the bbc have been very one sided in recent weeks.

Snp will win in 2016 and stay together... riding on the coattails of independence

Maybe i was being naive in saying next 2 maybe 3 election wins for snp but in 2021 it will more than likely be a coalition government again.

 

I'm surprised they broadcast that I think his general sentiments about the Government would be echoed by millions around the whole island.

 

I'll admit that they might be able to get into power as a coalition but I don't see them winning outright in 2016. Negotiations are gonna be crucial to public opinion and if the SNP members are felt to have cocked it up in anyway you'll see a reaction from the public (including Yes voters).

I've no problem with ****s voting No. At the end of the day the people with sense (most of us on here ) are voting for what they think is best I reckon. I don't think Salmond, Cameron, Clegg or Miliband have actually influenced that many voters (apart from the knuckle dragging spastics).

Early to say but I think I'll probably vote Labour in the next election. Just as long as has been ****s like Lamont and Brown get to ****.
