Best beer name: Polygamy Porter - bottled in Utah. They have the slogan "bring some home for your wives".
(named after Cole Porter perhaps?)

It's not actually a Porter though- it's actually an ale... tastes terrible too- still, tourists like me pick up a 6 pack.

Is Vier stronger than normal Becks then? I cant think, I think it is

I usually have Kronenberg, Peroni or Oranjeboom but mostly vodka or bourbon

I've not tried Samuel Adams chocolate Ale.

You have to be careful ordering cider in the US- they're just as likely to give you spiced apple juice with no alcohol. They call proper cider "Hard Cider" here- and cider to them is usually just apple juice with a few spices mixed in.

Ah okay, so why if y
Germany is used to weaker eers can you not get the Vier there then? Or did I read your post wrong

"Apparently because we're more used to weaker beers e.g. ales, Carling etc. are generally 3.5%-4.5%, whereas European ones are generally 5% (or above)."

"We" means English. As the English are more used to weaker beers, a special version was brought out (possibly also for safety reasons). Germans are used to stronger beers.
