I've always enjoyed this fixture - a bit like watching a Subbuteo game, a hard climb to the seats and last year it was incredibly hot under the roof but the atmosphere is great. Last time we stayed on (great weekend deal at the Gosforth Park Hotel) and had a perfect Sunday drive down the coast via Whitby. Robin Hoods Bay and Filey for fish and chips at Inghams. Not only was it incredibly hot, but there was a wasps nest in the roof, the bloody things were swarming all over us.
 
Did the tour in February when I was up in that part for our away game against Sunderland, and it's a top quality stadium, but yeah the view from high up isn't great.
 
In my opinion the view really isn't that bad. Admittedly it is very high - I wouldn't want a season pass there - but for a one off game there is no problem whatsoever. Moreover, in recent years, we have a pretty good record up there. Last season was a cracker! Nice TGI Fridays for lunch before the game in town too!

Not too expensive either, get yourselves there!
 
Got tickets today I'm offshore for the west ham game and someone has paid for my Newcastle ticket in return of the use of my pass next Monday!!! RESULT!!!! I just hope there louder than the Villa lot. Which they have been previously :)
