How likely is he to start for you against West ham? What position if so? Sounds like a stupid question, I apologise. But I have see Obertan, Gouffran, Shola, Sissoko, Santon, Sammy Ameobi and more start on the RW ahead of him, even when he was fit. But thats just Alan Pardew mastermind at work I suppose.
he will deffo go after the year, unless we finish in a Europa League place, then there might be a 10% chance he would stay..otherwise just enjoy him while we have him
you don't know that, he might love being here, who knows, ben arfa doesn't know yet if he feels loved by bruce, then he will 'love' it
Apologies if this has already been asked, but do we know the terms of his loan? Wondering if it's full season? Any recall clause? Can NUFC terminate in January if they get an offer to sell him to another club in that window? Just curious.
It's a season long loan, the word at the Newcastle end is that there's no recall option in the loan agreement, but nobody know the precise details(other than the clubs, obviously).
He is fit, he destroyed the Reading FC reserves only 2 weeks ago, scoring 1 and getting 2 assists in a 5-2 win, playing on the RW. Closer to the pitch than Pardew let him. Bring on the hammers for Hatem
"Ben Arfa has a big opinion of himself," Douglas said from the Newcastle Chronicle "He wanted to win the Ballon D'Or last season." "He felt he was bigger than Newcastle and no doubt he'll think he's bigger than Hull City too..."
depends on bruce and how he feels if he is ready to step right in, he will definetely play, but probably on the bench for the west ham game
If he gets the best out of him he'll have done more than OK for you mate, you'll be comfortably top 10. Disgusting what's happened to him here. Pardew handled him as badly as he did Tevez at West Ham, and we all know what happened there. Don't buy into the propaganda in the press about how he's "lazy" (only because Pardew wants his wingers to be 2nd full-backs), "disruptive" (only because he dared question Pardew's horrific tactics in a team meeting), or whatever else. Our club has ridiculous control of the press at times, hence why Pardew is rarely criticised in the nationals or on tele. In Ben Arfa you have a player who, if played as an outside forward with actual attacking responsibilities rather than defensive ones, will win games and create goals almost singlehandedly. Good luck for the season, hope he does well enough for you to make Pardew look like the mug he is.
Well my only hope is that we sack Pardew early this season, and any new manager wants to offer Hatem a new contract upon returning after the season. Apparently your season loan runs til May 26th roughly? But he is contracted to us til June 30th. So he would be here around a month before he leaves on a bosman. I pray for a new manager, I really do
Sorry for your loss pal, and thanks for the link, he really does look a special talent, and like everyone else I can't wait to see him out on his stage in an amber and black shirt. You're always welcome at the KC by the way.
Personally I hope to see him play behind Jelavic in a number 10 role, or in the hole behind Jelavic and Hernandez as a front two. However Bruce has a love in with 352 at the minute, so whilst I hope that changes too, our new formation is anyones guess! I'm hoping for 4231!
Its both our gain tbh, you get Hatem winning you games. I get to watch Hatem tear up the PL at a rival team and show people just how clueless Pardew is for never starting him. Ohhhhh don't worry, I am trying to convince my mate to come with me to a few Hull games to see Hatem again
I think he'll be on our books until June 30th, but as he's your player anyway I don't see why you couldn't offer him a new contract at any time anyway. I would say I wonder if Pardew thinks he's going to get the sack so stuck two fingers up to the fans he loves so dearly and his successor, but Mike Ashley would obviously have to sanction it. On second thoughts that still seems entirely plausible the pair of ****s.
ben arfa is as good as ronaldo technically and psychially but what separates the best of the best like ronaldo to ben arfa is the consistency
