Bruce is a god or at least a demigod, its clearly not opinion as these deadline day signings scientifically prove it.

I remember sitting through transfer window deadline day and look at the other clubs with envious eyes. Never did I believe that we would be buying and selling ten million pound players! Feels good to know that the envious eyes are now on us. UTT

You can offer a contract at any time if the player's current club agrees to it. You can agree future transfers at any time if all 3 parties agree to it. (Ljajic not Tosic)

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-United-sign-Zoran-Tosic-and-Adem-Ljajic.html

Negredo will be a future transfer as it was done close to the window and it can be quicker to get the paperwork drawn up and processed for a loan than a permanent.

In any other situation you can approach foreign based players 6 months before the end of their contracts, or other English based (plus Cardiff, Swansea) players 1 month before the end of their contracts.

    Great deadline day for Hull

Hull City's transfer deadline day activity was proof of how far manager Steve Bruce has brought the club in a short space of time.

Uruguay striker Abel Hernandez arrived from Palermo in a club record £10m deal while the arrivals of Hatem Ben Arfa from Newcastle United and Gaston Ramirez from Southampton will capture the imagination. Mo Diame's arrival from West Ham United will beef up midfield.

Bruce did a superb job in establishing Hull in the Premier League last season, as well as reaching the FA Cup final, and these deals signpost the new ambition and hope under Bruce, who has a history of being able to persuade big-name players to come to his clubs.

Wow. What a deadline day and we look to have put a very good squad together. Hats off to the club for the work they did yesterday.

It's fantastic news Macca, but those responsible for these news releases really should know the difference between flare and flair

The morning after the night before.

Remarkable business yesterday, the calibre of player cannot be sniffed at by anyone. I'll leave the selection headaches to Steve Bruce, rather you than me boss.

Highlight of the day? Oh ok then, Hatem Ben Arfa hanging out the car with a smile as wide as the Humber Bridge on his face, grabbing as many hands as he could, looking like a superstar. If we can get him back to his best, this season could be marvellous.

    True, very true.

Personally I was always confident that Brucey would give us at least some Wigan-like success when he was first appointed, but what he has achieved since he's been here is absolutely mind blowing, and I don't think, not for one second, that even he could have anticipated what has happened during the last couple of years!

For me, some players fit with certain teams, it's exactly the same with managers, Liverpool were a struggling second division side, if I recall correctly, when a certain Bill Shankly was appointed, the rest, as they say, is history.

Could City/Brucey really be the new Liverpool/Shankly? At this moment in time it would be a very foolish man that bet against it!

    Definitely this ^ Party!

It was a beautiful thing to watch for any City fan, a truly world class player hanging out of his window, shaking as many hands as he could, whilst beaming his delight at finally getting here/escaping the clutches of the fool that is Pardew. I feel that was the very beginning of what will be a very special episode in the career of a special player at, what the world is starting to realise is a very special club!

He will be all out to show what he can do, just to put 2 fingers up to Pardew. If he does take the EPL by storm again, I don't know whether Pardew will be able to walk the street of Newcastle again.

How sad then that the capacity at the KC is so small, I reckon we could top 40,000 for the West Ham game

Did anyone wake up this morning expect that all to have been a dream only to have a look and see that it's real?

If we have, it wouldn't announce it until January. Maybe Hutch knows something?

Gonna put a bet on HBA scoring a hat-trick against Newcastle when we play them at St James Park

Well you'd lose a fair bit of money - as I'm pretty sure he can't play that game.
