NEW SIGNING: The 27-year-old playmaker arrives at the KC Stadium on a temporary deal until the end of the season #UTT

This implies we definitely intend to make it permanent.

DEADLINE DAY: And that completes our business for this transfer window #DeadlineDay #UTT

Surely not?

Was that meant to be ironic?

No why?

I think he is still settling into the BPL and Soton have loaned him out to us as they have enough cover at the moment + the wages would free up their late moves in the window..

However, I think we will see his best and come the end of the loan deal he'll be worth a lot of money....

You do realise he joined them in 2012, don't you?

Why does it? It just tells us the information.

Well...

1) Other loan signings usually are reported as a 'loan', not a 'temporary deal' - like Gaston Ramirez's.

2) His contract is up at Newcastle at the end of the season.

3) His attitude was that of a man joining a new team for good.

Because they haven't mentioned it being a loan, like the Ramirez deal. They said he was on loan for the season, while to me, this implies we fully intend to keep him. May just be wishful thinking, but I don't know why they'd pick different wording.

At least I'm not going crazy.

Amazing to be a City fan.

No idea how we're going to fit them all in.

Gutted we haven't got a game until the 15th.
