Amazing to be a City fan.

No idea how we're going to fit them all in.

Gutted we haven't got a game until the 15th.

At least they are all going to have two weeks hard training and getting to know the rest of the team and Brucie's system. Might not be a bad thing that we have two clear weeks. The anticipation for the West Ham game will be enormous. Another record crowd for the KC???

Well...

1) Other loan signings usually are reported as a 'loan', not a 'temporary deal' - like Gaston Ramirez's.

2) His contract is up at Newcastle at the end of the season.

3) His attitude was that of a man joining a new team for good.

But when George Boyd signed they actually said there's a two year deal at the end of the loan. They've said nothing of the sort here; temporary deal and 'season long loan' are just semantics, they mean the same thing. Unless we have a pre contract in place, he'll be free to leave and go somewhere else at the end of his contract. He might also choose to stay and sign for us, but we won't have to worry about that until January at the earliest.

And he's just been frozen out at Newcastle, I'm not surprised he looks so happy to be joining somewhere else.

Excluding the GK

DL Robertson / Rosie / Figueroa
DR Rosie / Elmo / Lenihan
DC Davies / Dawson / Chester / Bruce / McShane / Maguire / Figueroa
LM Brady / Ince / Aluko / Ben Arfa / Ramirez
RM Elmo / Ben Arfa / Ince
CM Thudd / Livermore / Diame / Quinn / Meyler
CF Jelavic / Hernandez / Sagbo

Not bad for squad depth

+ Snodgrass and possibly Dudgeon when he comes back

We can't announce we're signing another teams player, if a deal is in place it'll be announced in January.

We also signed Boyd in February, not August.

You can't compare the two considering when they took place in relation to the point in the season.

Will they though?

All the Irish lads are away, Hernandez and Ramirez with Uruguay and few others away as well.

Well we could have said there'll be a contract offer at the end of it, we just can't actually offer him the deal until January. Valencia have an 'obligation' to sign Negredo at the end of his loan, so we know he's going to be going, but they can't offer him the contract now.

I suppose, it just seemed like you were reading into it a tad too much, when really they were just announcing a season long loan deal.

That is totally different. He has a contract at Man City at the end of his loan so would require an agreement to sign him. We don't require one with Newcastle hence why we haven't announced one. We may have an agreement with Ben Arfa but we don't need to announce it yet.

All the new lads are away on international duty, apart from Ben Arfa. I think Bruce said in an interview after the Villa game he has 8 players this week.

Hull City got the Ben Arfa deal done with 30 secs to go on the 2 hour extension. Hear Steve Bruce on his 4 signings @HumbersideSport at 6.25

We cut it fine.

still can't believe it, on deadline day we've signed.....

ben arfa
diame
hernandez
ramirez

<laugh> unfuckingbelieavable

It really is mental.

Whatever happens we've done some great business, but why do teams leave it so late as to run out of time altogether. If you've got 3 months to do these deals, how can it come down to a matter of minutes? It's utter madness.

Newcastle didn't want him to go to another EPL club. Ben arfa was adamant that he would only sign for one so was knocking back clubs who offered the toon money for him.

Benny then let it be known that he was happy to stay and fight for his place and that he would be talking to the FA about not letting him train with the first team.

For a pompous overbearing dimwit like Pardew this was bad news. He couldn't have the greatest, most technically gifted player at the club training with the first team because the press would have a field day. It wouldn't just be 52000 geordies shouting for him it would be the national press too.

Especially when his first 11 are not winning. So the toon gave him permission to talk to EPL clubs at around 4pm.
