How have you not heard of him?

My opinion on you signing him, because you're all desperate to know.

Decent player that will fill the void left by Shane Long and by that I mean quick, hard working and needs 12 chances before he scores.

He's got an appalling barnet an all.

From what I've seen of him I'd have to agree. Hernandez has a lot more potential though, with Long he isn't going to improve at this point but Hernandez can still develop and become more clinical/generally a better footballer.

Well yes it is, Juventus spent 1 season in Serie B.

Yes, but the players Juve took down with them were miles better than the players Palermo did.

They stayed at Juve because they wanted to help them rather than a lack of options whereas nobody really wanted Hernandez when he went down with Palermo.

Save for Arsenal, Liverpool, Benfica, Real Madrid and Manchester United in September 2013, just as the Serie B season kicked off. There's no way even you can say this isn't an impressive signing if it comes off.

You are aware he's just rejected Benfica this week as he wants to come to Hull?

I know that's now and not last summer but it seems plenty of decent sides have looked at him in the past. And he'd rather play for Hull than Benfica.

What do you think of £7m for James McArthur? Good player but probably paying twice what he's worth. Also does that mean Cambiasso deal is dead?

I'll copy what I said on the Leicester board (we've had an offer accepted 'in excess of £5m'. I'd imagine, through experience of Nigel Pearson transfer windows that that would be about 5.5m after the 5m offer was rejected).

Don't quite know what to make of it.

Do I think he's a good addition in a position we're lacking? Yes.
Do I think he's better than our main two current CMs? Not quite.
Do I think he's worth "in excess of £5m"? Not at all.
Do I think he'll fit into our ethos and playstyle? Absolutely.

Overall, "lets see what happens" is my verdict.

Cambiasso has apparently told us that he wants to sign but it looks like his Agent doesn't. Sounds like his agent is a proper bellend.

Not true at all, Zamparini promised Hernandez that if he stayed with them and got them promotion he would sell him once they did. Hernandez therefore gave his word that he would stay and get them back up.

So in reality, you couldnt be more wrong.

You've gone for the wrong one, it's James McCarthy that's the decent one...

At last an agent with his head screwed on right way round.

When then exactly? Until Long unexpectedly left the club City weren't in for any major signing upfront.

I've only seen him play once, or at least it's the only time I remember watching him play, but it's not like e hasn't been in the spotlight a bit. People in the trade know the trade, not like us fans who generally don't tend to watch a great deal outside our domestic competitions.

I'm not sure how much thorough scouting he'd need, it's not like he's some unknown plucked out of the Cypriot non league or anything.

Have to admit, would be pretty impressed/jealous if you sign Abel Hernandez.

Saying that, all I really know of him is that he was awesome on Footy Manager a few years ago, and have no idea what he's done/where he's been since!
